That headlines sounds so weird, but that's where we're at now with college football in the NIL era. Anyway, good news for Texas fans, bad news for Arch Manning's bank account...

He improved a ton as the season went on. We would be very grateful to have him

That's not a paycut. That's a cut in the amount given to him by UTexas.

He will have larger NIL deals next year to make up for it.

given his family, the guy has plenty of money.

"plenty of money" ... something no person has said about themselves ever. Always easy to say someone else can take a financial hit.

I’d tell him, “let your conscience be your guide”

It all should perforamce based with a small guaranteed amount for their actual participation In the marketing work they do for their sponsors to keep both sides honest.

But the guarantee money they are getting is criminal!!!!

How about the practice squad walk-ons that are risking their long & short term health to be tackling dummies for these 18 yo millionaires that have not proven jack shite.

I think a 20-30% cut should come off the top of all NIL endorsements and split equally between the “non-NIL” guys.

Without a practice squad and goof life and fast granted type of look every day in practice, these prima-Donnas would never develop the way they need to:

The system is so twisted, and all the white kids should be lobbying and saying “all the NIL money is going to majority of black players”
And FLIP THE SCRIPT on them. With their, “not enough black coaches” and/or their Ryan Clark’s of the world rationalizing everything. Well I say, where is the NIL fit for the crackers?

Because the Mannings are a select few getting NIL $
