Five Oaks for breakfast Pigeon Forge- get a skillet breakfast if you are hungry
Crockett’s- for breakfast in Gatlinburg - they are owned by the same people as Five Oaks/ menu is a little different, but have essentially the same items

Now, I have never been, but there is usually a line out the door waiting to get into the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg

Paula Deans is good at the Island
We have been going to this Brazilian Steakhouse in PF and its really good. Right on the strip

Apple Barn in Sevierville - I usually try this for lunch because the Apple barn has a lot of shops you can go in/winery/makes ice cream/candy store, but the shops close early and may not be open for dinner.

Friend,

While I am not familiar with Gatlinburg's dining scene, I do know that I did not enjoy eating at Paula Deen's in AL.

The greenbriar in gatlinburg for sure

If you’re craving pancakes go where the locals go—little house of pancakes. Pro tip—you can call when you’re on your way to get your name on the list

The Local Goat in Pigeon Forge is good but always crowded. Was there for Thanksgiving week and ate at Mel’s Diner which was fairly good. We also ate at the Old Mill and, while decent, wasn’t worth the wait. Crockett’s in Gatlinburg is good for breakfast and so is Flapjack’s. I would not recommend Calhoun’s...it was meh. We also ate at El Paso Mexican Restaurant (not part of the chain in Louisiana) in Sevierville and it was surprisingly good.

On the strip in Gatlinburg Best Italian is good and the Mountain Edge Grill is cool too. The Pizza Hut is somehow the best Pizza Hut in existence

Not in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, but check out English Mountain Trout Farm. You catch 'em; they cook 'em.

2nd Sawyer's for breakfast.

Drafts Burger Bar is pretty good.

Not a restaurant, but if you're at the island, check out Yee-Haw Brewing company.

Many good suggestions here... for me:

Breakfast: Apple Barn all the eay

Lunch/Dinner: Best Italian on Gatlinburg strip
Wild Bear Tavern at the end of the Pigeon Forge strip... been twice and service was bad both times, but the food is excellent if you like German
Timberwood Grill at the Island... went here last time we were in Pigeon Forge and it was surprisingly good

Three Jimmy's Good Time Eatery - Amazing food and beer's are 2 for 1. You will not be disappointed.

This is more of a locals place but will beat any of that touristy shite in downtown Gatlinburg.

Some great suggestions on here. I don't if the pandemic has changed things, but when we went a year and a half ago, many of the little local places on the strip were cash only (with an ATM located inside with an insane fee to use it).

So you may want to check on that, and plan on bringing cash to a lot of those places.

The prices, though, were pretty cheap!
