re: Oahu Questions

- What are the best restaurants in Oahu? Highly recommend the restaurant House Without a Key in Honolulu! Make reservations far in advance. - Is it worth visiting the North Shore? If so, what to do there? Yes, it's definitely worth visiting the North Shore. We hopped around to a few different b...
Check out the Washington Square Hotel near Greenwich Village and the Hotel Indigo - NYC Downtown (near Wall Street). I've stayed in both of those in the last 3 months for less than $300 a night. ...
Good choice with adding another night in Moab! We recently spent 3 nights in Moab. For Canyonlands, keep in mind there are two sections to the park that are not near each other: The Needles District and Islands in the Sky. We spent one day at Arches (then went back for a little while on our way ou...

This doesn't address your question about where to stay but you might consider the tour that allows you to open the doors to the Sistine Chapel. That would ensure you don't have to wait in lines! I think it’s worth going to the North Shore on 2 days. The North Shore beaches were our favorite on the island. We spent abt 2 hours at the PCC before the dinner and fire show, and that was plenty. Unless you’ve booked a private tour of the PCC, I can’t imagine spending all day there. ...

You might want to check out the options on www.monasteries.com It's old convents and such that have been converted to hotels. I think most of their accommodations are pretty basic but they're affordable, breakfast is included, and it will be quiet! Lol! ...

Look into Naxos. It's charming and quintessential Greek without the crowds or steep prices. We took a SeaJet ferry boat from Naxos to Santorini, and it was easy and quick. My travel agent booked flights for us to go from Athens to Naxos, and from Santorini to Crete. We had to layover in Athens ...

The Old Lahaina Luau is the best but I'm not sure when they will re-open since the fire. I just saw on their website that they've cancelled everything thru at least Jan 31 but hopefully they'll be back in business by April. We loved the Road to Hana! If you want to visit the black sand beach at...

Re entry into the Plaza Hotel - I was there last week and it was closed to only hotel guests at around 2:00pm, but I later read that you can get in if you go before 9am. Hope that helps! ...
Check out Sugar Mountain, NC. We took our kids there when they were abt that age and it was a great place for them to learn to ski. They also have tubing and an outdoor ice rink. We paired that with a few nights at the Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte, and my kids had a blast! ...

It’s closer to fly into SLC. We just did this trip in reverse 2 weeks ago. Flew into SLC, drove to Moab, then drove up to Denver (for an appointment). A friend of mine went to Moab in April. The weather was great for hiking but too cold for glamping! ...

My husband and I are in Denver this week but we’d like to go to the mountains this weekend. We’d like to stay within a 3 hour drive of Denver. We want access to hiking trails, shops, restaurants, etc. I’m debating between Breck and Steamboat. Which would you choose? Is there another town I’m missing...
