I often am tired after a vacation.

What are some places that are truly relaxing?

Love the topic, but pretty sure there was a thread on this a couple weeks ago.

Turks/Caicos. No kids. No planned excursions.

Palm Island in the Grenadines. Very small island that is 100 percent resort. Only inhabitants are the guests and staff. No roads, no vehicles just bikes. It’s relaxing bc you don’t worry about going anywhere and there is no temptation to go anywhere , youre just there and have nothing to do but chill.

San Juan islands off the coast of Washington. We stayed on orcas. Very slow pace and beautiful.

All of them... mainly because I do not try to pack everything into a few days and tend to spread things out. Leaves me plenty of time to see things at my own pace or just spend a day in my own world

Same here, but that's a personality trait. I don't like sitting still. Beach vacations are relaxing, but now I'm cautioned about over doing sun exposure, so...those are a thing of the past, mostly. I find cruises are too confining and anything in the Caribbean falls into the sun problem. Once I hit 70 the appeal of cruises (outside of the Caribbean), may increase because of the problems with renting a car once you pass that age limit. Have to get my wife to accept train travel as an option

Most relaxing?
A cruise ship. You can do as much or as little as you want.

Probably St. Lucia. Once you get there, there isn’t really that much to do other than hang out and relax. Damn I could use a trip like that right about now.

The only way to do it IMO. Going somewhere else to just sit around never really appealed to me. I can do that at my house.

Probably when I go to a resort like The Greenbrier or The Homestead.

Beach vacations are relaxing

We get everything packed. Lunch made. Drinks. All of it.

Make our way to the beach, down go the chairs, folded table, umbrella(s), sit back, pop a beer, take a deep breath and relax…..for 45 seconds then ask who wants to throw the football, build A castle, go for a walk, boogie board, play slam-ball, throw the frisbee, fly a kite, play volleyball, ask what’s for dinner.

When I think of camping, all that comes to my mind is a ton of work!

Came here to post the same thing. Casa Las Tortugas is the most relaxing hotel I've been to in all of Mexico

Maine

and as poster above mentioned, a cruise is very relaxing despite the negative reviews everyone likes to give them
with a cruise you don't have to worry about driving anywhere, meals are taken care of, on board entertainment is taken care of, and you can plan your shore excursions where everything is catered to you
