There is zero chance you have traveled along I-10 through Louisiana if you are saying this. It might as well be a different state thank north of I-10 but there is a little something for everyone. And there is absolutely nothing about Mississippi that deserves to be ranked ahead of Louisiana.

Never said it wasn’t beautiful, If I had to live in California, I would choose the northern half over the southern half.

Kentucky at #48 is the bigger issue. That state is beautiful.

I agree. The rolling hills, horse farms, and distilleries alone put it in the top 20

Abbamonte moved to Los Angeles three years ago after spending most of his adult life in NYC.

His new home state delights him in myriad ways, he added.

Agreed. Cali is a really pretty state if you visit the right places and ignore the obvious batshitness of their politics. I'd love to go back to San Diego. It's easily one of my favorite places that I've ever visited.

This guy is a painful idiot. Perfectly exemplified by his take on Pennsylvania.

He also said that one thing he noticed about Pennsylvania was a stark lack of "continuity" between the state's cities and rural stretches.

"If you go out to western Pennsylvania, it's completely different than Philadelphia," Abbamonte said.

Isn't that the point of rural vs. cities, a lack of continuity? That's kind of the point of being outside of a city. Most folks would also say that areas of a state being different is what makes them interesting.

He also has Maryland at 17. Maryland flat out sucks. Baltimore is a shithole and the area around DC looks like a warzone. My son is 10 and played in the Under armour flag football championships at the University of Maryland last summer. WHile we were driving around he asked why the area was so ugly.

For Alabama

Alabama is a lot of things, but lacking good food is certainly not one of them. The James Beard Foundation would seem to think there’s some good places too.

I don't necessarily disagree with his ranking although I'd say that its not a great metric to value a states worth. Alabama is certainly not a place I'd want to "visit" but its a great place to raise a family. Conversely, a great place to visit is Las Vegas but I'd probably choose a different place to raise a family.

Also, California is like 5 states in one so it kind of has a built in advantage.

And obviously this guy is a liberal douche nozzle so frick him anyway.

CA has more going on from a tourist standpoint than anywhere else in the continental US.

SoCal, Hollywood, SF, PCH, redwoods, Tahoe, wine country, high end restaurants, etc.

I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live there but as a tourist destination its unparalleled.

Without looking him up I would be willing to bet he is some sort of golf blogger and if that’s the case maybe that could be a factor in him ranking Louisiana so low. Still hard to imagine Iowa having better golf than Louisiana

Have you ever been? There's a few sh*t cities but it has as much natural beauty as any other state. I wouldn't want to live there but it's an awesome place to visit.

100% California is incredible. Prog trash has fricked it up but that fact notwithstanding it is one of the greatest places on earth.

Yeah, Even the shite cities have stuff most people would like to at least visit, and this is ranking is from a travel perspective and not living there.

Dude isn’t into nature he just visits national parks and takes photos from paved paths.

He hasn’t spent any time in Alaska in the fall or spring he’s just going off what he’s heard. Also mentions Juneau which is pretty but doesn’t scratch the surface of what that state has to offer.

The whole thing is clickbait.

Not just outdoors.

There's the Louisville Slugger factory. Jim Beam distillery. Lincoln birthplace.

It says he's visited each state at least 3 times. On the Arkansas portion it mentions he's bene to Little Rock but not anywhere in the NW. So if he hasn't bene to Fayetteville or anywhere else noteworthy up there, did he just visit Little Rock 3 times? Imagine basing your opinion of the state on repeat trips to little rock...yeesh.
