Going to Vegas this weekend. Are there any unique things to do in Vegas besides shows, eating, and gambling? Anything around the Vegas area we should check out?

Grand Canyon. Splurge for the helicopter tour. That was the highlight of my Vegas trip.

Rent a Lambo, get a hooker and some blow, and see how fast you can drive to LA and back.

Mt. Charleston/Lee Canyon may be minor league as far as ski resorts go but it is nice and is an easy drive from Vegas.... The hotels in Vegas are so incredible I like to walk from one to the other up and down the strip. I have probably been about 15 times since 1980 and the growth never ceases to amaze me. That being said, shows, eating and gambling are what Vegas is there for.

If you do the Hoover Dam you might as well include the Grand Canyon as well, it's too close not to.

Definitely go to the bigger resorts and do a walk-through. This will easily take up several hours.

Red rock canyon hike trail is cool in the evening. there is a highway that runs west out of town about 5 miles it is very very pretty when the sun is setting and they have some look outs you can pull over and hike.

Lapayutte golf coourse is an indian reservation north of the city beautiful place to play

in the last 15 years or so, partying/clubbing has far eclipsed the dining and shows.
