We really enjoyed the horse drawn carriage tour. Im sure it depends on your guide, ours was great.

Was Googling to see if they have a brewery there (they do). I ran across this gem: Biscuit Class
There's a brewery, distillery and winery in the area.

Pack a lunch and ride up the Natchez Trace about an hour. It's the prettiest part of the whole Trace. Also at City Hall, find the tombstone in the front 'lawn' for Tripod, the City's Kitty. Get someone to tell you that story.

We always enjoy the bar at the Carriage House at the Dunleith.

Doesn't exist anymore. We went back in March, had it booked since October and found out the owner retired and it's now a new restaurant. We had our money refunded, and then we had brunch there on Sunday before returning home. It was fantastic food.
Side note: I get the impression that Regina, the previous owner, is not well liked in that town. Seriously, ever single person responded with polite revulsion and negativity when we mentioned that place and especially her. Nobody would reveal any details, but it was clear she was unwanted

Donut shop as mentioned for tamales. They are better than Fat Mamas.
We’ve been to The Camp several times and it’s a nice little casual spot. The burgers are very good and the fries are hand cut.
Roux 61 is always good for seafood.
Don’t forget to grab dessert at the Malt Shop.

Any recommendations on where to stay?
Edit: Not walking distance convenient, short drives, but Natchez is not big so no long drives to anywhere.

The Grand is nice as is Hotel Vue. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at either one .

The Grand is right in the middle of things so allows you to walk to many places.
The Vue is a decent hotel but across the main highway and requires a drive or darned long walk to get anywhere downtown. Last time there, a year or so ago, there was one taxi and no Uber/Lyft.

2 pages in and no mention of the Natchez Basilica. Beautiful church that is worth a walk through.
Also Regina's restaurant and Locust Alley for music

You can rent out the entire top floor of the Under The Hill Saloon for $250/night. It’s 3 rooms. Get you 2 more couples and it’ll be cheap cheap. That’s my plan next time me and the wife go. We spent our entire trip at that damn bar.
