Weekend with the girlfriend (no pics). Both in our late 20s. Just looking for places to eat, shite to do, bars to try.

Eat -
Magnolia Cafe
The Camp

Drink -
Under the Hill Saloon
100 Main Restaurant and Bar

Tour plantation homes during the day if that's your thing.

Go to Fat Mamas for tamales and margaritas. Then go to the casino. It’s small and trashy just like you would expect. Then go to Magnolia Grill for dinner.

Was Googling to see if they have a brewery there (they do). I ran across this gem: Biscuit Class

Under the Hill Saloon

This place was pretty cool. Definitely go to the 'under the hill' area. It's closer to the river and below the river road / main street area in downtown.

Also pretty neat to read about how the town developed under the hill first and then over the hill.

We usually go once a year. One night is plenty.

Just don't make the mistake we did by going to Vicksburg.

I feel that Natchez Brewing is a must with killer pizza.

We were just there for buddies wedding. Roux 61 was pretty good. Pig Out Inn had some really good bbq, link sandwich was great. We toured Longwood plantation...it was really interesting.

Someone here turned me on to the Donut Shop. People line up deep for donuts and pastries. They also have excellent tamales, the small and spicy style.

If you go to The Camp, get the fried pickles. Theirs were fantastic.

Go take a spin around the old cemetery. Lots of history there.

You can take a guided bus tour from the visitor center. It was a good way to see the whole town and learn a little about the various places. Don’t do the hop off, or you may be waiting forever for the next bus. Just make a note of interesting spots and come back to them on your own.

I live in Natchez and one of my biggest tips for this time of year is get some gnat spray. The high River brings Buffalo gnats and they bite. You can get the spray at most hardware and gift shops around town. If you can’t find any, mix some vanilla extract with water and spray on your neck.
Brewery for pizza and beer
Little easy Cafe for brunch
Smoots Grocery for live music at night
The Camp for a variety of good food and nice view

It's called something else these days, but it's still about the same. I don't know Dimples.

It's been since before the covid shite that I've been to Natchez and, hence, been there, but yeah, that's a it. It's a little more resturanty than Bowies was, but still pretty similar.

Now tell me about Dimples.
