Things to do in Denver....with wife and daughter

Taking daughter and wife to Denver next weekend for a concert, will be there Friday for that, but will have Saturday open. We are staying at The Maven downtown, not sure if we will get a car since we are flying out the next morning. Any suggestions on things to do? Any good restaurants we should go to Saturday night?

If you can find a way to get into Casa Bonita I bet that would be a lot of fun, but I have heard the waiting list is very long these days

I really want to go, went when I was a kid back in the 80's, but you have to make reservation 2 months out.

They recently put 40+ million into a renovation. Thats insane for what is basically a Mexicna restaurant with a side show.

We usually stay in Cherry Creek and that entire area occupies the wife and daughters while my boys usually hit up a game.

Cherry Creek is great for shopping and also has some good places to eat.

I stay at The Maven every year and I love it! It's in the same building as an upscale food hall with several restaurants on that block (it's called the Dairy Block). It's also within walking distance of the 16th Street Mall that has lots of restaurants and shopping, and a very short walk from Union Station. The Maven has a complimentary car service that will drive you within a certain radius if needed.
We eat at Blue Agave every year, in part because of a soup that is on their winter menu that is so good! We also ate at the Urban Farmer this year. It was good but more upscale than Blue Agave. Both are within walking distance to the Maven.

Boulder has some good restaurants but that's all I can recommend

It’s a pumpkin-espresso bisque. It is unique and delicious!

Depends on what y'all are into.
I was going to suggest a tour of the Denver mint, but it looks like it is only open Monday - Thursday.
There is a fairly nice railroad museum in Golden (Colorado Railroad Museum if I remember correctly).
Lookout Mountain Park (about 30 minutes west of Denver) has some really nice views of Denver and the surrounding mountains. It is also home to Buffalo Bill's grave and a Buffalo Bill museum.
Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder also has some nice views and some good hiking trails.

I went there back in 2009 when I went to few shows at Red Rocks, pretty cool

Couple of winter systems moving in next week, probably Denver's first snow of the season. Bring layers, next weekend will be cold.
You'll be looking for things to do indoors.

Nuggets are in town Saturday night, that’s a good one. We like the museum of nature and science.
While a cooldown is coming mid next week, I don’t think it will be really cold yet next weekend, high near 50 or so which should be comfortable if the suns out. The zoo is a good outdoor activity.
If you venture outside of downtown, Roxborough State Park, Waterton Canyon, Mt Falcon, North and South Table Mesa, and Chautauqua are all nice areas for a hike going from south to north along where the metro area hits the foothills (from Roxborough Park to Boulder).
Food: La Loma, Milk Market (food hall), Annette (Aurora), Yuan Wonton

depending on the age we took our daughters to the aquarium downtown and it has the restaurant inside. you can feed stingrays and during dinner they have mermaids that swim in the water.
My kids loved it. not as huge as a normal aquarium but its a good time kill indoors.
