Staying on Las Vegas strip

Attempting to book a room for a weekend in LV in January. Any way around these resort fees per night?! For example, They list a room at $180 per night but the resort fees at anywhere from $50-$100 per night on top of that.
Any good sites or codes to use? Thanks!

Trump has resort fees as well. And, no, you cannot get around the resort fees if the property has them. Best deals are through MLife (MGM loyalty) or Caesar’s Rewards. Book directly with the resort. They will charge you a refundable deposit (if you don’t cancel within like 72 hrs).

The Motel 6 of the strip.

Resort Fees will be everywhere in the city, you can't avoid them. Also, you pay them at checkout.

Vegas has lost its appeal for me.

If you're diamond card status with Caesars, no resort fees for their propertys.

Expedia
Excaliber is showing $125/night
Luxor $165/night
Still have resort fees to add to that

We've stayed at Linq a few times in the past. The rooms are the best for the lower price-range, and Caesar's is right across the road if you want to gamble in a bigger casino

I stayed at Caesar's in September and had to pay the $50 resort fee. Even the cheaper places - such as the Paris - had $50, so you might as well stay at the nicer place.

Linq is nice. Do NOT stay at Circus Circus. I stayed there 25 years ago and it was a dump then.
BUT do go to their steakhouse. Oldest one on the Strip and damn good. Just don't look around too hard while walking through the casino or you will lose your appetite.

I went inside the Circus Circus last year out of curiosity. That place was depressing. I remember there was a clown on a stage in the kids area with one kid watching him. There were a lot of dark, creepy, empty, hallways.

Lower prices draw a lower clientele. Cheap places draw trashy smokey people. If that’s your idea of enjoying a vacation, more power to ya.

Down by the Famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign there is a Pinball HOF. It is on the Main Strip and houses hundreds of pinball machines of all types from way older to more recent.
Lots of Movies, TV shows, Music and athletes on display. Admission is free and they is a change machine for quarters.

I personally have stayed at Circus Circus Several times.
The key is to stay on the inside tower suites.

I'm not sure i understand the rational on this...So I shouldn't stay at the Paris for $150/night plus $50, so I can stay at a $275/night plus $50 place.

I went to the fundome or whatever it was called friday. It was pretty dingy but fun. It also wasnt busy so it was almost like having the whole thing to yourself. Im sure it is much busier at night or the weekends, especially during the summer.
Place overall needs a good cleaning. The casino area was dark and strong smoke smell. You can tell lots of lower class people stay there by the clientele hanging around.
Id stay but not with the family. The price is intriguing thats for sure.
Also the shin lim magic show was great if anyone likes card trucks and sleight of hand. Dude has to be one of the best ever. The other act that worked with him was great. Well worth the money.
