Hope I'm not screwed, but the kids and I managed to make it out of DAL Saturday morning to Phoenix. Flight was only delayed 2 hrs.

We're scheduled to fly back to DAL on Friday night from Phoenix. I'm kind of panicking now.

The Monday cancellations are beginning, seeing a few already on the board (STL-AUS, MSY-HOU, SEA-MDW). Could be from out of place aircraft/flight crew but will keep an eye on it

Cancellations are currently growing for tomorrow on Southwest, last I checked was 245 and we're up to 292. I expect that number to grow a lot more as the night goes on. For our cincy poster, not sure if you're on the baltimore, houston, or chicago flights but as of 1:39am those are all still showing as on time.

Yes my Cincy flight cancelled at 1230 with a text notification. Booked on Delta! Then send me text at 4am saying it’s delayed an hour! FU SW!

So thankful we grabbed the AA seats. The flight SW actually re-scheduled us for actually did take off though. It was delayed and the total flight time was more than double. Looks like they didn’t get in until 1:30am. Woof.

Believe it was the ONLY one of SW flights to complete yesterday from MSY to DAL.

I would be looking for alternatives and book another airline for the time being.

Flights between HOU and DAL look to all be on track.

If I was the pilots doing this shite, I would be doing it on Fri/Sat/Sun for maximum impact.

Cuse- where do you track the number of cancellations?

Welp, DAL is not holding planes at their origin an average of 47 min... Not weather related.

I'm wondering if they are having issues turning planes around due to staffing shortages

Anyone with inside info on here?

No clue but if this many pilots/gate agents/ ground crew end up quitting then I have a feeling they are majorly fricked schedule wise.

Glad you made it out. I was watching those flights late last night here and saw they had to go west around that giant line of thunderstorms.

I wouldn't trust any route right now if we're being honest. The crews fly all over the place so even on HOU-DAL the plane could come in from Phoenix beforehand. If they really did want to maximize the cancellations, they'd do min/Thurs/fri/sat/sun. Get both business and leisure travelers

Flightaware shows cancelled and delayed

Dallas Love Field had similar inbound holds yesterday as well. I noticed a lot of the planes that had landed ended up taxiing for roughly 30-45 minutes after landing. Staffing is probably the issue

But I've flown into dallas numerous times since then and have seen some random delays here and there, but not like this.

Yep. Not to get political but this website has gotten too political IMO. It detracts from the awesome shite it can do. And the various resources that are here. Like Cuse. Each board has a guy. Each board has a lot of people full of shite, but there’s a handful that will give medical advice, travel, appliance repair, music, and that’s just off the top of my head.

Now back on topic, Cuse how is the SW cancellation rate looking for today since it is a Monday. Still a holiday, but a Monday.

363 cancelled (10%), 812 delayed (23%). I really hope your flight takes off tomorrow, looks like everything today for MCO-HOU is going

So only a few million lost today

Will likely end up being 10s of millions in the next week for their virtue signaling bullshite. Congrats SW, you did your shareholders proud.

Flew from Cincinnati, now in Baltimore, leaving for New Orleans in 3 hours.

Flight from Baltimore, was switched from 8 o’clock, to 10:30, to 9:40.

Since we landed it went back to 10:30, now 10:05.

The flight in front of us at our gate is headed to Vegas, they are currently boarding (7:30) originally was suppose to leave just after noon.
