Rome restaurants and can’t miss places to visit while there.

Going to Rome and the Amalfi Coast?
Great trip. We combined those two destinations a few years ago.

I will give you a restaurant recommendation for both.

For your Michelin starred meal in what my wife calls the most romantic restaurant she has ever been to (and she is a connoisseur of such things) have dinner at Restaurant LaSponda in Hotel LeSirenuse in Positano. The room is lit not with electricity but with 400 candles, and the wall of the restaurant is a glass window overlooking the Mediterranean to the left and the Positano Hill to the right. The adjoining bar has an outdoor terrace with the same view. It is spectacular.
I Positano, our hotel was Villa Gabrisa. They have three rooms on the second floor with 24' X 24' private terraces overlooking the Mediterranean. The view is spectacular for a hotel room. It is not super expensive like LeSirenuse because it is a little hike up the hill from the beach.


My Rome recommendation is a little more casual, but you will have a delicious Italian meal in unique and historic surroundings.
Hosteria Costanza
It is just off Campo de Fiore. The restaurant is built among the ruins of the Theatre de Pompey which is where the Roman Senate was meeting when Brutis assassinated Julius Caesar there.

Went to Rome last year, best thing we did, food wise, was a walking food tour in the Trastevere neighborhood. There are many options to choose from.

Our travel group was 6 and it was just us and included wine. Good times!

I usually do ALL of the scheduling or None of the scheduling because of the amount of moving parts on a trip like this.

I’ve traveled to South America and Hawaii but never Europe or Asia so I’m excited as hell.

I still remember that running joke from a couple years ago asking men how often they think the Roman Empire.
I think it said the results were a few times a week for the average American male.

It actually allows a booking at the bar for drinks and small bites around 9.

We did this while we were over there a few months ago. Highly recommend. We went through eating Europe to book it.

In terms of casual spots, we stumbled into La Fiaschetta. Really enjoyed our meal there after a long day of walking.

There is a wine bar right outside of Campo de' Fiori called L'Angolo Divino. If you are staying around that area, it was a solid spot to start the night.

This is great to hear because I booked a Friday night at Mirabelle just for the views and close to the Hotel.
