I still really haven’t found anything good. Bumping for other ideas
Last year when I checked Honey Brake was charging $2k a day
I’m looking to book a few guided trips for the 2026/2027 season. Willing to go anywhere in the above states. Of course killing ducks is the top priority. A good meal and bed is also part of the fun. TIA
Excellent lunch restaurant in Florence is trattoria la Casalinga

I want to go catch a mess of crappie next week. I hear lake Concordia has some. Need a guide though, anyone know anyone?

Open to other lakes, but I need a guide to take me and trying to minimize driving from Baton Rouge. TIA

Frying fish in crawfish pot/basket.

Posted by HuntFishMan on 3/27/26 at 2:49 pm
I need to fry fish for 15 people next weekend, so was thinking of using my 60qt crawfish pot. Would love any tips for this, as well as how to keep temp.

I also need to fry some chicken tenders too, so wondering if it would be ok to do a batch in the fish fry grease? Or maybe I could do the chicken first and fish after that? Any ideas how much fish I be a fry at once?

TIA
Hunted Venice today. Not many birds. Still ended with a 2 man limit in a couple hours, but a couple balls of teal carried us.
Update: The hunting was horrendous. Hardly any ducks up there.
Also wondering if anyone has stayed at Dry Lake Outfitter and has any feedback on the operation and food?
