Thinking about taking a trip with the SO to the Florida Keys at the end of April. I've been looking around at resorts in Key Largo, but have no clue where we should stay.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Lighthouse Inn, good place, about a 10-15 minute walk to Duval, right by Hemingway house.

We are going in April. Didn't know where to stay and was talking to one of my co-workers about it. Our company has a place down there to take clients and he'd been a good bit. Said to look into a place called Hawks Cay. After looking, realized it's a place that is always featured in the fishing shows I watch. We booked it. Kind of pricey, but look like it's going to be awesome. It's in Duck Key, so it's pretty remote, but in the middle of all the keys. So we can spend a day in Key West or travel up to Key largo one day, I'll be fishing out of Islamorada one day, etc.
Obviously haven't been yet, but everything I've heard and seen looks great.

Wife and I stayed out the Southernmost House at the very end of Duval (Atlantic side). Excellent customer service. We rented bikes for the day and had a great time. It was close to everything.

On the OT...We only stay at the Westin in Key West..it's the most expensive.
