We are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge this summer and looking for some feedback on activities, sites, places to eat, etc. Group of 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids). Looking for some suggestions on a variety of activities. Found a few things online, such as alpine coasters and knife making. Already have Dolly World and the Titanic Museum on the plans.

Use the search function, but change the search date range from the default of 7 days to 2 years, you'll see plenty of info.

Depending on where you are staying, check out the trollies for getting around some of the tourist-y areas.
We ride a trolley from the middle of Pigeon Forge to Dollywood and the water park, so that we wouldn't have to worry about parking on site.

Pigeon Forge is a traffic nightmare most days, and you have to take a vehicle everywhere.
I'll get downvotes, but I much prefer staying just off the strip in Gatlinburg. Everything is walkable, and Ober Gatlinburg is right there with ice skating a short ride up the mountain on the skylift.
Gatlinburg is also much closer to the national park where I prefer to spend my time.

Yea, we arent staying directly in Pigeon Forge. Got a cabin in the surrounding area. I see the reviews online for things, but figure I would ask to see any direct insight.

We went in June a couple years ago and had a blast. Went to Gatlinburg and rented an ATV Side by Side and drove it to Cades Cove, we saw several bears in Cades Cove in Smokey Mountain NP, on the way we stopped at a place called The Sinks, there was a waterfall close and a granite cliff you could jump off of into the water, that was fun. We also took a guided ATV trail ride through the mountains, it started raining and mud was everywhere, it was fun as well. We went white water rafting with one of the tours, it was fun as well. Doesn't matter which company you use for that, they all go to the same place and travel the same route. Dollywood was the nicest and cleanest amusement park I've ever been to; you'll have fun there. We took the ski lift up to the glass bottom suspension bridge in Gatlinburg as well, it was quite the view plus people were freaking out on the bridge, scared of heights and with the glass bottom you could see everything, that was fun and funny. They also have a tower like in Hot Springs. The mountain coasters are fun. There's lot's of stuff to do in the Pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area, y'all will have fun for sure.

Our favorite drive is Little River Gorge Road in the national park. It has several stops with waterfalls right near the road. We actually prefer it over the traffic jam that Cade's Cove has become.
If you can afford it, get at least a 30 minute helicopter tour. There's nothing like flying over the peak of a mountain.
If anyone in your group like pottery, the best place is Alewine. It's in the arts & craft district just east of Gatlinburg.

The Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show is a blast. Also check out The Island, because there's tons of things to do there. Have fun!

get up super early if you want to go into the mountains, those parking lots fill up quickly all along the road up the mountain, and i think you have to pay for parking tags now...dont' want to see you guys on this guy's show.

Cobbly Nob is our go to place for cabins.
If you have kids Ober Mountain and Anakeesta are a must do.
I would avoid Pigeon Forge, kinda of like Las Vegas for kids.

My wife wanted to do the Titanic Museum last time we went. I thought it was going to be a stupid tourist trap, but it's actually pretty cool. Let the 10 year old boy make his own knife as well. Sounds like you are about to have a very similar trip to us, and we had a blast.
We really enjoyed eating at the Gatlinburg Brewing Co. (specifically the location in Gatlinburg)
LINK
Great location and windows for people watching, good pizza, great brew.

We really enjoyed Anakeesta the last time we were there. But buy tickets online to keep you from waiting in the long line to get up there.

If you have fishermen in the group, the little pigeon is stocked with rainbow from April to November.

Cades Cove, Ober Gatlinburg, several hiking trails. Drive over the Gap to Cherokee, NC. Stop at midway point for sightseeing. Perhaps Bryson City for train excursion along the river.

Roaring Fork Motor Trail
Scenic one way road right above Gatlinburg. Well worth your time.
