Parking for a week at MSY

I've flown out of the new airport twice and used the new US park location and noticed on pick up they have taken awhile to get a shuttle. Everything else has been fine, but, just wondering if there is anything more efficient.
Is there any better / quicker options? I noticed there is an open air parking lot right where you get picked up for the shuttles, anybody use that?

I can't really say if anything has changed much since the new terminal opened, but I've always used Park N Fly and they have quick service to and from the terminal. I can pre book on their website and I usually get picked up pretty quick once I park and they are always constant shuttles at the airport.

We parked in the short term parking for about six days. Right out the door and easy getting in and out. It’s a little more expensive though.

Do y'all not have a secure barb wired fenced in place close by thats covered instead of parking at the actual airport?
we've parked at place like this at Memphis my entire life. I'd never park at the airport .

The "economy parking" at the old terminal garages is the same price as US Park (~$12/day). Airport operates shuttle from the old garages to the new terminal. Seems to be working just fine, and there is no shortage of spaces. No reservation required.

this is no longer. Park n Fly ride to the new terminal is about a 25 minute ride. If you have time, choose park n fly. I don't, so I will choose another route. I have been a long time park n fly customer.

Park and Fly @ 6 veterans Hwy. They offer a coupon on their website $5 / day for the first 5 days if it is your first time using the location.

That's US Park. Park N Fly is on Airline on the other side of the airport.

I did Park n Fly a few weeks ago. Wasn't too costly with coupon code and the shuttle was waiting for me at the car

New US Park on Vets has been great for multiple flights...my guess is your last return was an outlier

When I was in my twenties learned airport raddison had free parking, so I’d park in their back lot, walk in lobby, wait on free Airport shuttle. They never asked for room number or proof of stay. Did that at least 5-10 times. When I landed called raddison for pick us up again for free. Never failed but I’m sure things have changed

Parked in short term outside of #4 in the new terminal two weeks ago. Ridiculously easy in and out. Cost me $90. Well worth it. Your car is exposed to the elements but IDGAF as I own a truck.
