My interview for my global entry is coming up pretty soon at the New Orleans airport. Can anyone tell me where exactly I need to go for this? I assume it's somewhere in the main terminal, but just wanted to confirm that is correct and find out where exactly in the terminal I am supposed to be going.

If anyone can provide any insight, it would be appreciated.

Park in the open air lot and walk in on the ground floor. Take a right and it is down a hallway by the baggage claim carousels. There’s signs that say CBP, and little signs about where to stand. You pass up the actual CBP office.

I had mine a few weeks ago and the officer took me early, and it lasted 5 minutes. Was in and out in under 30 minutes, didn’t even have to pay for parking.

How long from your application did it take?

It will really depend on how quickly you can get an interview. MSY would probably be a couple of months. You can check Gulfport, MS though. When I checked recently, they had less than a month wait.

The interview is the dumbest thing about the whole process. I guess they need it for the picture they take for the GE card (that you never use unless land crossing in the US), but they already have your passport photo.

They need to figure out a way to get rid of that bureaucratic step.

As previously stated, it’s first floor down long hallway past the the baggage claim.

When I went few years ago, me and another guy were standing in hallway waiting for about 30 mins… finally door opens and the officer and applicant leave. The other guy got chosen before me (presumably earlier appt time). I waited about another 40 mins.

Finally when it was my turn, I told him I was familiar with global entry. He asked if I had any questions. Took photo and fingerprints and I was done in about 5 mins. He also processed and approved it immediately. I got the email before leaving the airport with my approval confirmation and global ID number

I’m not sure why 5 mins for me , yet 30-40 mins+ for the others

I did my application at the end of February and received by conditional approval the next day. The soonest appointment for my interview was in June (and it look me a few tries to even find an available date for interviews in New Orleans).

Conversely, my wife applied the same time I did and she still has not gotten her conditional approval. She was not born here and is a naturalized US citizen. Not sure if that's the hold for some reason, but the only thing I can think of that might be causing her delay.

I did mine at the Gulfport Airport.

I got the earliest (in the day) appointment time and was there about 15 minutes early and the dude got me in immediately and I was out of the parking lot before my appointment time.

The interviewer was extremely nice.

Recommend GPT (not the Chat version).

I started my application on February 1, got conditional approval that same week, and had an interview at MSY on 5/18.

My wife and I applied for Global Entry a couple of years ago. I was approved and scheduled my interview at MSY within 2 weeks of applying. I waited about 10 mins to start the interview, and it lasted about 5 mins. Before I left the parking lot after my interview I got the email saying I had full approval.
My wife is a US citizen born in another country. It took 6 months for her to get conditional approval. By then the interviews were booked over a month out. She did her interview and received full approval about 2 weeks later.
We are taking our kids to France this November, and I started an application for them this week (Tuesday). I got an email last night with conditional approval and scheduled their interview today- MSY had 2 spots open. Nothing else open until September.
My wife and I arrived at Dulles Airport this past week. The customs line was about 45 mins long. The Global Entry line had 6 kiosks with no wait. We scanned our faces and went right through. If you travel internationally even once a year I think it is worth it for $100.

Did the whole process with my fiancée and it went fine. She got her card in the mail and mine never came. Went to website and logged in and there is a "I never got my card" button. Clicked it. Yep. They want another $25 to send me a new one. Gotta love our Government.

My wife and I both have had global entry for a while, but one of the dumbest things I’ve ever had to do is bring my six month old child to an interview at MSY so he could also get global entry (as we were all traveling out of the country and it was required that we all had it). The agent conducting the interview had no idea what to do, obviously they couldn’t collect his hand print. After about a 10 minute phone call with his superior, it was approved and they mailed a card several weeks later.
