Detroit is great.
Houston is pretty good.
San Diego is nice.
I like Reagan in DC for sheer convenience.
Birmingham has done a good job renovating theirs.

SVD for the Third World

There’s a bunch of domestic airports that I’m at least good with.

Having Sky Clubs/Admiral lounges, etc. make average airports good.

95% of my travel is international.

My favorite International hubs in the US are Minneapolis and Detroit.

My "avoid at all costs" hubs are: JFK, LAX, ATL.

Austin-Bergstrom has done an incredible amount of updating/upgrading the terminals. Still a bit crowded at times, but I do like the new experience.

Not a flight aficionado, but Orlando was terrible.

Austin was fine years ago until they started renting out every square inch of walkway to vendors. Now it’s impossible to walk up and down the Barbara Jordan terminal. And TSA there sucks more than normal.

Thankfully there are AA and UA lounges, but still.

And delta lounge now.

Hattiesburg. That gate and soda machine it has are both top notch.

Seriously, sign above gate says "Gate 1". There is no gate 2.

For United my least favorite - walk of death from end to end (straight line). Add in it being in the middle of nowhere .....

One of my favorites for convenience and closeness to town. New delta terminal looks great - but until they finish - Jon delta have a long arse haul now. When down I think it will be fantastic

I've heard some stories about the 20-30 minute walks in SLC now in the new terminal. Once they are done with A it will be convenient for delta but until then, apparently the A-B connections are not going so smoothly.

I hated the location of the rental car facility, felt like a 20 minute bus ride. Similar to Vegas and DFW

Honolulu. You can walk or sit outside in a garden in the sunshine while you are waiting.

JAC Jackson Hole

And underrated only because it’s a small destination airport.

It’s a beautiful airport with an astonishing view of the Tetons.

Plus, the chamber of commerce serves Mimosas on arrival.

I've flown out of it. It's just a tidy non-descript little regional airport.
