When I say sight, I'm talking about a view from a pretty specific location. For example, Moraine Lake from atop the Rockpile or the Eiffel Tower from Champ de Mars. Something like that.

Amalfi coast in the Sorrento/Positano area. Swiss Alps around Lucerne. Pictures don't do these places justice.

I don’t think it ranks #1, but the view from our balcony on Lake Como last week didn’t suck.

Not the best photo but gives an idea:

The valley of Glen Etive, in the southwest Scottish Highlands...rain runs right off of the basalt mountains, so the mountainsides are covered in rivulets and waterfalls, collecting down to the river Etive, which tumbles over rocks. Tourism pics here: LINK

Am I the only one immature enough to notice it looks like she's looking at a penis?

Subtle "beautiful sight" Phil.

My wife and kids did a trip10 years ago to Sun Valley, Idaho in July. Talk about a place with rich and pretty people, that is it. We schedule a white water rafting trip in Sranly, Idaho which is about 90 minutes away. We crossed over a big mountain and then the most incredible mountain range opened up in front of us. I never stop to look, but I did this time.
I have not traveled abroad like many people here but travel this country more than most. That sight was just unreal. When we go to Stanley the water was as blue as a crayon. Unreal

The most spectacular scenery I have ever seen was from the upper levels of the Klein Matterhorn (Little Matterhorn),the mountain next to the Matterhorn near Zermatt, Switzerland. When you look over you are staring at the Matterhorn. Then you look DOWN at the snow covered Alps and the town of Zermatt off in the distance. An incredible sight........ I also like some of the other choices posted above. The views from Positano and Ravello rank way up there and we are looking forward to seeing that view of Paris again next year. But when people ask me to name the most beautiful scenery I have seen I have an easy answer. The view looking down from the second from the top level of the Klein Matterhorn is #1.

The Seven Rila Lakes in Bulgaria is like someone took the world emoji and laid it out in front of you. Absolute bitch of a hike but it's worth it once you get up there.

Dubrovnik from up on the mountain is pretty cool also

We stayed in Cinque Terre and the beauty was completely overshadowed by the hordes of tourists. No desire to go back. It’s a shame.
