Heading back for the first time in 10 years, doing it in late March/early April and going for 7 days. The fiancee has never been before so I am ok seeing a few things again.

Currently booked a day tour to Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor. I've purchased tickets already for London Eye (beat the line pass) and I have my Oyster Pass for public transport. We will also be doing a Jack the Ripper tour because why not.

I know Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, etc will have to be done again since she has never seen. Anything else locally worth recommending?

As far as food we are simple, we will probably do one really nice dinner but overall just hop into whatever pub or restaurant we find along our way or near our hotel

I am staying near Hyde Park in the Notting Hill area if that helps.

Tower of London is very cool.

I’d highly recommend a Soho food tour. Was great to hear the history of the area from hunting grounds to industrial area to red light district to current area. Food is really good too. Can’t recommend enough as it’s one of my favorite experiences in London.

We enjoyed the Gaslight walking tour. We did not enjoy the pub walking tour. That may have been the guide’s issue. May try it again. The Kings Arms pub in Mayfair is really good. Evensong in St. Paul’s or Westminster Abbey is good. River taxi to or from the Tower. The Secret Cottage tour is a good day trip to the Cotswolds.

Food: Churchill Arms (pub, but great Thai in back); Dishoom; I always like grabbing lunch at Borough Market. I really liked tea at Fortnum’s. Not too pretentious but still nice.

Activities: Recently did a Westminster tour. You actually get to walk in the Lords and Commons chambers/lobbies. Really cool. Churchill War Rooms. See a show in the West End if that’s your thing.

You don’t have to Oyster any more. Just use Apple Pay or tap to pay credit card.

Borough Market for lunch
You don't need an Oyster Card - just use touchless or apple pay for all of the underground and busses.
Churchill War Rooms
Wallace Collection - nice artwork and one of the greatest collections of armor you will ever see
Take the Uber Boat from London to Greenwich and back. Book using the Uber app (cheaper than buying tickets at the dock)

The American Bar at the Savoy Hotel is a very historic place and makes a helluva Old Fashion. Highly recommend a drink there.

Heaps for breakfast in Greenwich. The maritime museum down there has some interesting stuff, but can be walked through pretty quick.

Last time I was there I walked up through the park to the observatory. It was a nice break in the trip.

You can't use your Oyster Card for her, only for yourself.

So, you'll either need to get a second Oyster Card for her or you can just use a Credit Card with a Chip in it.

Also, I second visiting the Greenwich Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory, there's a couple of different ways to get there but it's worth the travel.

The Tate's collection of JMW Turner's work is astounding. Tate Gallery London Link

They are closing that portion of the Tate from 28 Nov to March of 2023. I would postpone a trip until they reopen (personally).

Invariably, the female eye candy at the Tate is at least worth the price of admission*.

Was there last month.

*It's free, but the right spaces in London attract some prime talent.

Have a great time, I love London.

If you like Martinis then go to Dukes Hotel bar. The best Martinis in the world. Get there right when they open at 3:00 for a chance to get in. It’s a small room and reservations are pretty packed

Fantastic restaurants in London. Had trip in September derailed by Ian but heading back in February. What’s on your list?

Best rec yet. Id add its where Ian Fleming was a regular and all the drinks are Bond inspired. The vesper is the best martini you will ever have.
