Won a trip to go later this month through work. Should I prepare to be gouged at every swipe of the card?

If you have to ask. Depends on season, but yes it can be as expensive as you want it to be but the best part (the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone) cost hardly anything. You have a great time just being out there.

LINK million dollar cowboy bar on the square is not bad. Worth a visit.

If you’re expecting Gatlinburg-level value, u will be surprised.
It’s a tier above.
But it’s awesome. Don’t be afraid to drop some cabbage and invest in a unique experience.

Only been during winter.
It wasn't any more expensive than any other destination.
And honestly, if you book lodging through their ski website, they give you like a $400 flight voucher per person.
So, it ended up being one of the cheapest ski destinations for a family.

How many times will you be there again? Spend the money and enjoy it

I guess it depends on what you do. It doesn’t cost much to hike.

If you enjoy hiking, I recommend making the hike to Delta Lake in the Grand Tetons. It’s not “labeled” on most maps, but it is shown on them. It’s not too bad of a hike and you’re rewarded with a beautiful alpine lake mostly to yourself. Regarding Jackson Hole proper, I don’t have much. It’s touristy in my opinion - I’d prefer to drive to places within striking distances such as Pinedale and the Green River Lakes. My wife and I hiked a mountain called Squaretop Mountain in the Wind River Range which was the coolest hike of my life (and most precarious).
