Yeah. I know it’s Travel Board shite. But what says the OT? Would you feel safe visiting Havana?

Cuba is safe AF; your bigger problem is jumping through the hoops to get there due to the stupid embargo.

I’m going next month on some “outreach to the Cuban people” visa. Means I’ll have to avoid almost any state-run stuff, which is hard. But it’s cool, I’m doing air bnb’s, horseback riding tours through tobacco plantations, rum tasting, etc...

I went 2 years ago- it was the most amazing thing I have ever done. Considering I’ve worked in 35 countries, I thought that was an accomplishment on their part.

No shite . I freaking hate when people lecture me on that stupid embargo, human rights, ethics, morality, human oppression, tyrannical governments , the evils of Communism when I’m trying to get my rum tasting on.

This is exactly what my wife and I are planning. Glad it sounds like everyone so far has had a good trip.

Two close friends have been in the last 6 months. Safety wasn’t an issue at all. Toilet paper shortage was.

A lot of people from here go often being it is so close. Never heard any complaints about crime or even threat of crime. I have heard that it’s kind of a shithole. One girl showed me pics of lots of garbage lining the street and garbage in the harbor. Also lots of dead animals like dogs floating around the harbor.

I visited Cuba 15 years ago and never felt the least bit nervous. People were very cordial but few speak English. It was a very interesting experience.

Yes, actually very safe. It's not super easy, you have to be with a "group" for something. A friend of mine just got back from there and they had to be part of a national geographic touring crew. No beggers or dealers on the streets - communnisum must take care of that. Beaches are beautiful but places to stay not so much. Lots of old architecture and history to check out.

Absolutely. I went on a mission trip as a kid. They let us run around unsupervised all over the place and we had a blast. And this was 10+ years ago.

I've felt less safe in Europe than in Havana

Why support a murdering Commie? Do you think any money trickles down? But your choice
