We are flying in on a Thursday morning so we have a day and a half to explore. I don't think we are renting a car so we are limited to Uber distance.

Rent a boat on Lake Austin, it's closer to town than Lake Travis, unless you are OK ubering to Travis then go there. Stop in at Hula Hut for a drink and maybe some food. If you go out to Travis, hit up the Oasis.

Barton Springs Pool

Barton Creek

Canoe, kayak, SUP, or tube float from Zilker Park. If you do it close to sunset watch the bats fly out from under Congress Ave bridge

Check local concert schedule

Eat BBQ

Eat TexMex

I’m thinking of heading up to Arlington for the Cowboys/Giants game. Not a fan of either team- but love football. Is it worth the drive/ticket prices to see the Cowboys?

If you haven’t been to a game at AT&T Stadium, then yes. Not a bad sight line in the house. Best dome I’ve been in to watch a football game.

Overall, Jerry’s put together a great game day experience. And there’s no love lost for the Giants, so the crowd will be into it.

AT&T Stadium is an albatross of Jerry's never ending excess. I just can't take seriously a football stadium that has a Victoria's Secret in it. It is like being at Ghostbar but there just happens to be a football game being played off in the distance. Give me my Superdome & a complete focus on the actual game any day over this social & networking event disguised as an NFL stadium.

On a positive note, the Texas Live complex is the real deal.

You gotta check this out. The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. has won best brewpub of the year for the past 3 years at the GABF. Tin roof came to Austin a couple weeks ago and they brewed a beer with ABGB to release at this party Friday night of the game.

Displaced, everything is relatively close. Tons of scooters and ubers will get you around wherever you want to go. Here are some suggestions:

Barton Springs
Capitol
Murals and artwork around Austin. Everyone is taking pics by the ATX sign on 5th and Lamar.
I suggest grabbing a good meal Thursday evening. Rainey will be solid and you can scooter from there down to W 6th if you want a change of scenery.
Depends where you're staying but the hotels downtown have solid pools you can visit with a day pass.
Tons of great breweries. Head to the East side for some options.
