If all things were basically even. Times, costs, layovers, etc. What airline would you choose? United or Delta

Just flew Air France. They lost all 5 of our bags for over 24 hrs. Hotel said we were lucky to get them before we finished our vacation.

I’ve flown British Airways, Delta/Virgin & United across the Atlantic. All are good.

If flying out of BR I’ll go with Delta so I can go through ATL. United can o out of D.C. which is pretty good. I’d avoid Dallas and Houston if I could to avoid the longer flight.

I’d go with Delta and United over American. But they are all fine IMO.

My experience with air France, Delta and united overseas have been meh-poor. I've had good experiences with Emirates,JAL
KLM, Lufthansa.

I would rather fly east to Atlanta rather than backtrack to Texas. The overseas flight is long enough already without adding another couple of hours to it.

Last flight to Europe on United: Hour late leaving hometown airport. Hour late leaving Newark. No gate in Amsterdam , so parked near cargo terminal in rain. First set of stairs malfunctioned and had to wait for different stairs. Bused to terminal by United and turned loose not knowing where customs and baggage were. Baggage late due to Amsterdam United baggage crew not knowing difference between Newark and New York. Return United flight, no gate in Paris. Bused to plane while being told flight plan changed from Paris to D.C. to Paris to Newark then D.C. Climb stairs to board. Every passenger missed connections in U.S. due to changed flight plan. That was just the most recent United international rout fiasco I’ve had. It’s also the last. Recommend Delta every time.

I just chose United for price. Delta is our pick for family vacations and we have an Amex through them.
I went with united because it was a 11.5 hour flight vs a 16 with delta.
I used American and British Airways for my last overseas trips.

We flew exclusively Air France this past June. Houston to Paris, Paris to Munich, Munich to Rome, Rome to Paris. Luggage delayed each flight except initial into Paris. The flight home was supposed to be Paris to Houston but we were bumped and completely screwed over. We ended up in Atlanta 30 hours later than we planned to be in Houston and only because Delta came through for us. No vouchers, no excuses, no assistance whatsoever from Air France. Never again will I ever consider Air France.

Done quite a few flight to and from Europe through Atlanta with them and never had a single issue

Plus it is a bit shorter flight than from Texas
