I'm supposed to fly to Milan on Friday. Meeting my mom in ORD for the trans-Atlantic portion. Hoping nothing is messed up for either of us, but not getting a good feeling.

Isn't the shutdown ending today?

Hopefully, but as of right now the gov is still not open. To your point above, its going to take days to get folks back to work and paychecks back on.

I’ve seen some speculation that it could take 2 months before things are back to any semblance of normal

By the end of the week we could see 10% of all domestic flights cut

No line in general security when I got to MSY around 7:15 this morning.
As of now, the flight to ATL is on-time.

This is posted at the top of Delta's home page. Planned FAA-directed cancellations have been completed through Wed., Nov. 12th. Hopefully not much impact to future flights, other than weather related delays.

Some industry folks are saying that it will be weeks and things will definitely not be "normal" during Thanksgiving

Just landed at IAH, man, what a ghost town. There wasn’t a single person at Uber pickup, I’ve never seen it like that.

The airlines have to be praying the house passes the resolution tonight.

Going VPA->ATL->PHX on Saturday (in reverse on Monday).

Delta says the flights are on time. Fingers crossed.

We flew CDG > EWR > MSY on Thursday 11/13.
Flew thru customs, quick and short line thru TSA at 1130am.
Had a TV reporter doing her newscast and looked very disappointed that everything was going smoothly.
Departure from EWR was on time

My Newark trip went well

To be honest the 2 flights I had had during the shutdown seemed to be much smoother than any of my trips since COVID.
