do you know if they're still doing Fantasmic? It might be worth it to go if that's the case.

Yes, but Fantasmic isn't a nightly occurrence. So you would definitely need to plan around that schedule. I did hear that they recently reduced the # of showings of Fantasmic on some nights from 2 to 1 as a cost-cutting measure.

Yes, but I think they cut back on the number of nights that they do two showings.

I just looked ahead and it looks like it's open every night during the summer.

Port Orleans would probably be your best bet, but Art of Animation is nice and a little cheaper if you can get a regular room instead of a suite. I'd prefer to stay on the monorail or somewhere with boat access to Magic Kingdom just to avoid the long lines with the buses. In that case Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Contemporary would be ideal. Personally, Contemporary with Magic Kingdom views or a suite at the Wilderness Lodge are my favorites. All of the All-stars aren't bad, but you will have longer bus pick-up/drop off. Only ones I wouldn't stay at are Caribbean or the one that's African Themed, Animal Lodge maybe.

You have experience with this Davids vacation rentals?
Posted on 4/8/16 at 7:51 am to cajuntiger07
I don't, my brother used them last year with zero issues. As long as you make sure the names and emails match what you use on my Disney experience it's no different than booking through Disney.
After his experience David's is all I plan on using going forward.

My wife and I both wish we had gone as adults pre-kids. But we enjoy the hell out of it now with the kids.

You weren't hugged as a child i bet.

I was hugged a good bit as a child.
My point is that if you're a couple with no kids there are many better choices than Disney. NY, Utah, the Keys, the carribean, etc. There will be many opportunities to go to Disney with kids. I've been about five times in the last 12 years.
Sorry some of you haven't aged beyond 16.

Which is every bit the reason to go before they have kids if they like Disney. It's completely different trips with kids.

Why do you have such a shitty judgement on people because they like something? I've been all over this planet and my wife and I still love Disney World. Utah? Boring. The Keys and the Carribbean? Boring. Once you've been to one beach with pretty water they're all the same. New York? The only thing fun about that place is Broadway. The rest of it is just another big dirty city.

I would definitely check and recheck the closer it gets to my trip or even during the trip. Disney has a tendency to modify the Fantasmic schedule based on crowds.

Im going in June and staying at Port Orleans. Trying to figure out reservations for meals and stuff now, we booked late so we are struggling. Choosing between Ohana and Tony's I think the place is called. We are only going for a few days, so we are only going to MK, no other parks. Trip is on the back end of a 7 day Key West trip. Difference for me is, its my wife and I and our 4 year old daughter.

Wow, now I know who I'm responding to. It's no wonder you're a Disney fan.

I'm 25, married, and a fan of both NYC and Disney. If the only thing you like about NYC is broadway, you are definitely doing it wrong though.
Let people like what they like and spend their money how they choose. It's not sweat off your back.
