Heading to College Station in a couple of weeks for a weekend event. Any recs on restaurants or interested things to see/do? Have been to most places in TX, but have not been to Aggieland...thanks

My sister works at Christopher's, if you want a nice steakhouse.

Definitely visit the Bonfire Memorial near campus. Not sure if Kyle Field is open, but you should try to walk inside if it is.
Dixie Chicken for a beer. Republic Steakhouse for dinner.
Not sure if you've already booked a hotel but the TAMU Conference Center is great. Right next to Kyle Field and has a rooftop pool.

sort of unrelated - my kid will be going to grad school at A&M starting in August. I don't know much about the College Station / Bryan area but I am looking forward spending some time in a new (new to me) SEC town!
