Will be in Boston for three days in about two weeks and looking for activity and dining recs. Staying near Boston Common. Planning to do the freedom trail and the constitution and likely walk around Harvard. Will be me and the wife and two teenagers.
I’ve heard that we should eat near the north end, but no specific recs.
I know. that Anita has a great boston guide somewhere but I can’t seem to find it Thank you.

I just bumped it. I’ll throw out the Red Sox and Pizzeria Regina. Great town.

Took my 17 yr old last year for a quick Astros Red Sox weekend. His favorite restaurant was a Tiki Bar by Harvard called Wusong Road. Something completely different than the standard seafood and Italian.

Bell in Hand Tavern since 1795 (right near City Hall* on Union Street)
*Drink too much you can purge quickly by jumping outside and quickly looking at the disgustingly Brutalist City Hall:

Just got back from a trip that included Boston. Man, what a city. We got to catch a game at Fenway during their 15 game win streak. Place was electric.
So impressed with how clean the city was and how accommodating all the locals were. Weather was near perfect for this time of year.
Stayed near the Copley place and learned to use the “T” to get around which was by far the easiest (and cheapest) way to get around the city.
Dinner’s (all highly recommended) were Saltie Girl, Capri and Abe & Louie’s. Lunch was Krasi and an old Italian deli in the North End.
Best overall meal was Saltie Girl. Best Dish was the Red Snapper Bourdeto at Krasi (Friday Summer Lunch Menu). Service everywhere was top notch.
Can’t wait to get back one day.

Santarpios pizza near the airport.
Don’t know who On here recommended it to us many years ago, but we’ve been every time we go to Boston and it’s phenomenal. My son just went there a day or so ago when he had an unexpected trip into Boston.
You won’t regret it

I recently stayed at the Boston Park Plaza and liked it. Also like the Longwharf and I’ve stayed in the Seaport a lot too. Can sometime find cheaper rates there.

Ditto on Santarpio's. Former hangout of my old man and his siblings from back in the 50's. Been a while since I've been. Last few times I made it to Boston I intended to go but it just never happened. Glad you enjoyed it.
