I am going on my honeymoon next month and part of our stop was in Paris in mid-december at an awesome looking AirBnb, the host was great and couldn't have been better, but I just got the email that the reservation was canceled. No reason was given. I'm a bit perturbed but at least it's now and not while we're already over there. Anyways...I found a few hotels that are in the area we wanna be in (near the tower and that little neighborhood area to the east of it) for roughly the same price that we origianlly booked the airbnb for. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations with these? If not I'll probably just book whatever is most convenient but would love some real life feedback if there is any.

I don’t know those places, but check out the key to our room at the Paris hotel West-End.

They made us leave it at the front desk every time we left the hotel.

Tripadvisor is your friend. I never book a hotel without looking at their reviews first. Anything less than 4 star total composite, I avoid.

We encountered this at a few places in central europe

It's actually nice to leave it IMO

Very common in a few countries years back. Now as technology has advanced everywhere, they don't need a key lady on each floor of a hotel. Kinda crazy but it's how they did it in a few places.

I actually stayed here a night then moved on to the Latin Quarter. Not a luxurious place, but not bad either. No frills. Just a standard Paris hotel. Not my favorite neighborhood in Paris, but the tower is an easy walk from there.

We ended up booking the hotel eber, it was close to where we wanted and had a room with a view of the tower, and ended up being $12 less than our Air Bnb lol so that's a plus I guess.

Just stayed at hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche. Would 100% recommend. Staff was nice and helpful in getting you where want to go. Also just a two block walk to the Eiffel Tower

Hotel du Cadran

We stayed there about 1.5 years ago. I'd stay there again. Rue Cher and Rue Champs de mars area has a pocket of some nice cafes and markets.

Based on the ratings of those hotels, I think you'd be better off trying to find another AirBNB.

I’m staying in an apartment near there on Rue Bosquet. Anything in particular that you would recommend?

Haven't stayed at any of those, but I like the Hotel St. Paul, small and nicely located near Odeon/Jardin du Luxembourg. It's an easy walk to the Luxembourg RER station, so you can take the train to/from the airport.

Family owned, coffee and breakfast available in the AM, but no bar/restaurant on site. (Not really a problem in Paris.) Location is quiet, too, and rooms are pretty spacious by Parisian standards. I think one or two at the top of the hotel have partial Tour Eiffel views. LINK

Sorry Dawg I wish that I could help you. In my three previous trips to Paris I have stayed at:

Le Grand
Renaissance Paris Vendome
Paris Marriott Rive Gauche

Returning in September and staying at The Renaissance Paris Vendome

I looked up your four choices and think you will be happy with any of them. How many nights are you staying in Paris?
