Tripadvisor is your friend. I never book a hotel without looking at their reviews first. Anything less than 4 star total composite, I avoid.

re: London - First Timer

Will be heading there in April. Bringing my elderly mom, inlaws, along with wife and 6 y/o daughter so we'll see how that goes.

Staying at Hilton Conrad St James, which is a prime location, a few nights then taking the Eurostar to Paris for 5 nights, then Belgium.

I'm actually considering the Big Bus hop-on hop-off due to having our parents with us. It seems to be pretty efficient and hits all the hot spots for first timers.

Just came back from St Croix. Somehow I expected more from a US territory. Most areas were pretty run down, but there are pockets of ritzy places. Didn't hurt that we stayed at a multimillion dollar house near the Buccaneer but I would be hard pressed to live there for a year. Buck Island is the highlight of St Croix.

re: Best way to film a vacation?

The single best item that I've ever bought for vacations was a Gopro. I only owned mines since last year but still was able to capture a lot of priceless memories. Prior to that, all other vacations seems "lost". We rarely look back at pictures and when we do, it's not nearly the same as watching videos and recapturing the feelings as if we were back there again.

Any action camera or the likes would work. As mentioned above, editing is the toughest part. The more you do the easier and quicker it gets. Just pick a good editing software and stick to it.

re: Vietnam Trip Report

Great Trip Report. Vietnam is a special place for us (also my aunt lives there). Wife and I did a HCM & Tokyo trip back in November. Going to Hong Kong and Seoul in a couple of months but my wife insists we go back to Vietnam so I will add North Vietnam to the trip too. She Looooooves Vietnam!! If it was entirely up to her, we would go back every year.

Just use a reputable VOA company.

This is no longer the standard. Evisa is the way to go.

Evisa Vietnam

Takes 10 minutes online, pay $25 dollars, you'll get confirmation of approval within a few days, then print out your visa from home.

Can't get any easier. Wife and I went last year. Had multiple family members go through this process also without issues.

I actually don't expect too much on June 3rd, as it will be just more preannouncements, but remind me in 1 yr to all the IOTA haters.
We took a UTV tour there which was awesome and highly recommended. The terrains were pretty rough but there were tourists in individual jeeps there too.

I loved Aruba and preferred it over Punta Cana and Nassau.

+1

Much better than Jamaica and Puerto Rico too.

Anyone on this board still hodling IOTA?

I'm an IOTA whale. Have been since day one on Bitfinex. I buy more every chance I get and believe that IOTA will be within the top 5 by year's end.
