Wife and I stayed at Big Cedar Lodge, which was incredible, for about a week. One day we went to Branson for the giant arse aquarium at the Bass Pro there. Outside of doing that, we didn’t do much in the city and mostly stuck to the Lodge area.

How are we supposed to know what your type of place is?

Old people love it so I assume it is wheelchair friendly.

Never been. I picture it being popular with old, fat white people that still clip their cell phones to their belt.

Branson is like Las Vegas if it were run by Ned Flanders.

We went and did the whole deal almost 20 years ago. From what I’ve heard, it’s changed a bit

I went once with family when I was about 10 (30 years ago). Never again.

I did see Wayne Newton. That’s my only consultation.

It is a family friendly vacation place. We used to go with the family to Silver Dollar City and even checked out the Dollywood Stampede show. Don't expect any nightlife or bars to hang out in.

This is sort of my assumption. A bunch of people wearing solid white tennis shoes.

Table Rock Lake is pretty nice and there is a lot of outdoors stuff around there. My mom is from that area so we used to go a lot to visit family.

Branson itself is pretty meh to me.

My ex wife went in the late 80's. Then, it was the most boring place a 20 something could visit. We were the youngest people at almost every place we went and weren't into crafts and such. Stayed one night and split.

We stayed at Chateau on the Lake (think that was the name) did some fly fishing below the dam, horse back riding and Silver Dollar City. Also Dogwood Canyon was very enjoyable.

This is why I am asking.

It was proposed as a family vacation. Out of all the places in the world to go, Branson, Mo would be on the bottom half of my list and I don't know that much about it.

At least you can say you saw Wayne Newton back when he was still a hot show..

It can be fun for kids and families. Silver Dollar City, the shows, etc. The best part of Branson is the area. Table Rock Lake is one of the best lakes I’ve ever been to.

We went to MO for a funeral a few years ago and stayed at a resort called Still Water on the lake. It's close to Branson but I don't even think we went there. Just went fishing, rode jet skis etc. Granted we weren't 20 something either but my kid enjoyed it.

I'd probably enjoy some of it more today, but I wasn't into the music or the entertainment. Went there on a recommendation.

We had more fun tent camping in the Ozarks.
