Anyone Done a Transatlantic Cruise to the US?

Specifically Southampton to NYC?
I’m seeing some outrageous deals for 13 and 16 nighters in October and November.
Stops include Paris (LeHavre), Vigo, Lisbon, and Atlantic islands (Azores).
I would assume getting to Southampton is pretty straightforward on British Rail from Gatwick or Heathrow.
Never done one of these, and for the price its hard to pass up.

I have.
I took the maiden voyage of the Norwegian Epic from Southampton to New York. No stops, just a week on the seas.
It was in late June and early July but we had some cold, foggy days in the North Atlantic. But it was fun. It would have been more fun had we been able to enjoy more outdoor and pool activities.
We spent several days in London before and in New York after.
We went from London to Southampton by bus transportation provided by the cruise line.

My parents (retired) have done multiple and love them. I know they have done NYC to Southampton, Port Canaveral to Barcelona, and Miami to L.A through the canal. They say you can’t beat the deals on a repositioning and they normally do U.S. to Europe and add on an extra leg or 2 to get more European ports in. I think half the fun for my Dad is searching for deals and booking and planning.

It's on my bucket list to do.
It is a good price.
How is airfare to London for that time?

Holy crap. You can rent rooms on cargo ships?
That's cheap too. About $130 to cross.
