Headed up in late September. Also stopping in Boothbay and Bar Harbor.

Plus all the little towns around it are fun to see and do things
Several lighthouses within about a 30 minute drive as well all along the coast

Beautiful up there. Nubble light is nearby and is pretty well known. Portland Head light is just south of Portland. Go to Porsmouth New Hampshire too as it’s very close as well.

Ogunquit, Maine - Get a lobster roll from Footbridge and then walk the Marginal Way along the coast.

Stop in St. Ann's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, beautiful church right on the ocean. Also try the Lobster Bisque at Alisson's Restaurant. From there north to Bar Harbour is such a great drive, several old trip reports that can be found via a search on here that will steer you right.
