South Dakota seems to be the most open of the states, and hotel prices are dirt cheap. Plus, airports don't appear to be too crowded, yet. Good time for a solo hiking trip to the Black Hills and the Badlands.

Anybody else taking a long distance trip?

Scheduled to travel to La Jolla mid July for business and golf. SD County beaches opened back up Tuesday, restaurants are now doing dine in and most of the people I've spoken with out there say July things should be getting back to normal in La Jolla

Looking at Whitefish in late August with the wife.

Leaving for a 2 week trek through Colorado and Utah tomorrow night. Driving some 4x4 trails, seeing national parks, and doing some hiking.

Tentatively going the last week of July as well. Where are y'all staying?

I am attempting to book a trip to the US Virgin Islands, BUT Delta still does not have a schedule for July!

Why Delta? Using miles? Where are y’all looking at staying? We had to cancel a trip to St John in April for my wife’s birthday, and she’s pushing to go back now that they’ve mostly reopened everything. I’m always hesitant to plan a trip to that part of the Caribbean over the summer months bc of hurricanes and storm systems in general. But we may just have to do it this year. Dreaming of St John on a nightly basis.

I would definitely make sure you have hotels booked, I think western road trips are going to be extremely popular this summer.

Agreed & just more domestic travel in general. I've booked everything for our trip already, but hoping it's not packed everywhere we go.

Eh a lot of those places "packed" is not that busy. I mainly say its important to book a hotel room because a lot of people don't realize how big the west is. The next town with a motel may be 60 miles away or something.

For sure. I was thinking more along the lines of restaurants with limited capacaity, etc.
