Patiently waiting to see what sort of troll GCT has up his sleeve.

He doesn't just start a thread on PT because he has a genuine question.

I lived in WA state, we drove.

But I mostly have flown in. And the best part is, I haven't gone there in 5 years and I see no reason to ever go back.

Does a layover in the Toronto Airport count?

I love Newfoundland, greatest people on Earth.

I've driven, flown, and cruised into Canada from end to end, the Canadians I know are not in love with liberalism.

I’ve been to Montreal and Quebec City. Stayed at Chateu Frontenac in QC. Super nice and beautiful area; It could have been that it was the French-speaking part of Canada but I saw them as rude and not really glad we were there.

One highlight was going to a maple farm and had a banquet style dinner. A young accordion player with a French accent was walking around serenading us and asked where we were from. When we said Alabama he launched into ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ on his accordion. True story.

Other Canadains consider Newfoundland their crazy house. Even their weird 30 minutes ahead is off kilter.

They are the equivalent to the US southeast region, for sure. Lots of good ol’ boys - all of the men know how to work with their hands, and all of the women can cook.

They are quite literally my favorite people on earth. Basically redneck Irish.

been there driving and flying, mostly to go fishing at some of the many remote fishing camps. They have some great float plane fly-in fish camps in Ontario. We usually funnel in and out through Winnipeg.

The last time flying back from Montreal, US customs was in the Montreal airport.

Was in Quebec City 3 years ago. It is a nice city but the French Canadians are very naive about politics. They all loved Trudeau but they had no idea why, other than he has a French name. Would not surprise me if Trudeau got 90% of the French Canadian vote. Outside of the French areas I suspect Trudeau’s name is mud now.

As a cop, flew from Houston to Toronto with a u.s. marshal to get prisoner. Was not allowed to bring guns. Marshal had an expandable baton that was taken up and held for him by airport police. He got it back on way out. RCMP was easy to work with but they have a thing up there about guns. Toronto is a nice city. Went to a Bluejays game.
