Don’t bother. DallasTiger posts hyperbole, failed predictions and generally dumbass takes. There was a poster several years ago who may have been wrong more often (can’t remember his username), but dally is the current king of being wrong on tRant.

Appreciate your interest in Alabama sports.

So, the play by play announcer is wondering whether or not a team that has never won a playoff game and a program that is historically one of the worst in the NCAA will tighten up in the Rose Bowl and thinking of ways that his team, a 6.5 underdog, could win the game. Such a level of arrogance and disrespect that hasn’t been seen since the 80’s hurricanes.

Attention whore coach goes to LSU with validation seeking insecure fanbase. The results…

As for Nebraska...many people feel once you are a Blue Blood you cannot lose that status. I do believe you can lose it...eventually, and i tend to think Nebraska is at least on the verge of losing it if they have not already lost it. I would almost wish they would regain it, as i remember seeing many of their great teams with powerful OLines and stout defenses.

Agree. It would be fun (to me) to see a strong Nebraska team again. But if anyone can lose blue blood status in the course of a couple of decades, it’s Nebraska. They went from dominance in the 90s (played for 4 championships, won 3) and have not sniffed anything since. Combination of coaching changes, other teams catching up in strength/conditioning* and changing recruiting landscape. I don’t see it changing absent them hiring a Saban type though. Too many disadvantages now.

*as pointed out earlier in this thread, Nebraska revolutionized strength programs. They were once the best in the game.
Auburn - agree. Capable of occasionally catching lightning in a bottle, but historical norms/averages are their reality. They like to talk about how NIL will hurt Bama/others and benefit them because it takes away cheating advantage given how “clean” their program is…lol. But they are the only SEC team to not have a winning season post NIL.

Tennessee - I want to agree, but not sure I can. Maybe consider them as a sleeping short guy instead of a midget. They are on the outskirts/within a reasonable travel time of recruiting hotbeds and have the commitment to compete. But they will never return to their 1950’ era heyday. A team that has been hurt by Alabama and Georgias resurgence and the changing landscape of the game.

Nebraska - at one point they were a legit blue blood. But changing demographics and recruiting landscapes have damaged them…possibly permanently. But I still wonder if they are just the right coach away from returning to prominence. Status— to be determined.

Ole Miss - agree.

Clemson - disagree. They have recruiting resources and financial commitment to always have the potential to make a run with the right coach. I don’t ever see them being a dominant player, but they can compete and occasionally win championships. Also, they have been hurt by Georgia’s recruiting.
