Hard for me to think about the road conditions, I was there in June. But 395 is a major highway, so I would imagine they keep it in great shape in the winter.

Looks like you would take the interstate to 395 from Reno, doesn't look very "mountain-y", but it can be hard to tell from maps.

Starting to get half a chubby looking at the models for this weekend's storm. Looking very good for the heart of the CO ski mountains. Jet stream placement gonna let us cook

Yeah, every model is keying on an intense snowband into Sat night that rips across every mountain you'd want to see snow.

But pretty shitty for fishing, tbh.

For Leadville at 12z:

Euro: 11"
GFS: 15"

Ensembles starting to creep up

Very good start and high res modeling is missing my current snowfall. With another 6" on the board (and remember yall, the actual mountains will get more than me), very optimistic about the totals.

I won’t be able to make a trip this year. Everything is ramping up and I’m seeing it everywhere unfortunately . I’m jealous of you guys. But seriously, y’all have a great season and be safe. I’ll be watching this thread and cheering y’all on. I’ll be back to Vail in 2025

I keep seeing all the snow and weather that's going to impact the Broncos game today and all I can think about is the slopes.

Have you been to an opening day there? It sucks. One run open with everyone packed on to it and coverage is marginal at best(although they got over a foot last night so that might be different). It is usually icey af. You should go there for an opening day so you can see what they think is safe to ski on. It is a novelty with most folks doing one run and done.

Also a bay is a small body of water.
