Going to have to wait a bit. Only decent thing if you book early are the schedule changes where you can change to better flight times for free. If you book this far in advance book the cheapest tickets and anticipate a bunch of changes

Thats the issue..most of the cheaper fares are already "sold out". They're driving people to the more expensive fares and even if they have a sale later it's till going to be outrageous.
It's Mardi Gras / MSY thats the issue here for me

They'll open other buckets. Have you tried looking at one-way tickets? I pretty much only book one ways now

Park City is the easiest from a major airport. Otherwise Jackson, Sun Valley, Aspen and Steamboat have smaller airports nearby.
