Kings and Queens of Corbet's was a fun experience. Like everywhere Jackson has been a bit short on fresh snow, so these guys were launching into a firmer than normal conditions. My knees ached just watching them.
I skied a lot of the terrian off the Thunder and Sublette lifts. Laramie Bowl was fun, a somewhat steep wide open bowl. The best snow was easily on day 2, 2-3 inches of wind buffed fluffy snow fell. Sadly, Jackson is such a high traffic mountain a lot of it was scrapped up by the end of today. That did give me an excuse to work on my bump and tree skiing where the softer snow was, need to be careful though when you go into the trees because it can get steep in a hurry.
Heading out tomorrow back to Big Sky, I'll hit the mountain up on the way back home.

Leaving today. Got some decent snow Wednesday which helped the rest of the week. More is set to fall next week so I think you’ll be in good shape.
This was my first time in PC and actually my first time on skis. Took a day lesson Wednesday and was skiing greens by Thurs and blues by Friday. My o/u on falling was set at 10 and proud to say I was under that number

If anyone has trips to Aspen, Crested Butte, Telluride, Wolf Creek or Taos in the next week you are going to be in for some amazing stuff. Especially Wolf Creek, looking at four feet of new snow.

PC desperately needs this snow to come through this week. Today was bad. It hasn't been snowing here at all aside from a light dusting earlier this week and the snow machines have been off.

With the subtropical jet active AF right now, southern Rockies should do well but Utah isnt as well positioned. Will at least get a nice bump from the storm about to swing in but after that southern Mountains get to feast for the next few days.

I just finished a 16 day trip to Tahoe.
Skied 10 days on Heavenly and 2 days on Kirkwood.
Solo and enjoyed the hell out of every minute.

Looks like we’re going to get a foot or so in Tahoe from this storm passing through. Think I’m going to head up tonight & stick around a few days

Nice, hope it's a real treat

Skiing at Crystal was great today, 11" of the fluffy stuff. Ate it a few times with one being thankful I had a helmet but otherwise likely my best day of the season. Hit the entire mountain and got a nice wide variety of trails off each lift.

It is nuking snow at Big Sky right now, was going to head home tomorrow but instead will be skiing powder. Might have been the busiest I have ever seen this place today, 15 minutes+ waits for lifts at the base, lines at lifts that I have never seen have lines. Lapped lone tree for a while, never much a lift line there and had skied the trees on Madison side as well. People are still trying to get out of here, glad I can watch from the safety of my hotel with an IPA.

If it's what crystal got last night and early this morning then that's the right call on skiing tomorrow. Holiday weekend crowds maybe? Northway lift here had the longest line I'd ever seen at it (15 min) but the lines died around lunch. Have fun tomorrow

I have some southwest travel funds that are going to expire this summer And was thinking about taking a solo trip over to Park city in early April.
What’s the snow situation like usually before Easter? Can I at least expect both canyon village in Park city Mountain to be open with a few runs each?

It was crazy all day here, I thought Ikon base being blacked out was going to help but I was way off. Tomorrow will make it all worth it though.

Easy suggestion. Book the tickets for a trip now if you find good flight prices then see how the snow looks over the next month. I'm sure someone here can better answer the snow situation question, but I've heard it's usually so so around then for April skiing. Here's a link to the closing dates for park city with April 12 estimated this year. Basically if you don't take the trip cancel the funds and use them for another trip.

Killer weekend in Silverton. Rode with Silverton Powdercats on Saturday. It was fantastic operation with a superb skier and snow linguist for a guide. We had fresh tracks on powdery glades and bowls all day long. Rode at Silverton Mountain today. Holy shite that place is crazy. It’s STEEP and never lets up until the runout. You need to bring your A-game for sure.

Bone bone dry. Believe we had a Tahoe record for consecutive dry winter days unfortunately. Haven’t been back since late January, but think everything’s gotten pretty solid last couple weeks.
Just got up to our winter lease though so we’ll see. 24 hours before the storm and things are still trending in the right direction

Leaving for Telluride on Thursday. First time going so glad they’re getting some snow this week.

How are they for snow prior to this storm? I check the webcams daily. There is an area you can see by Everett’s 8800 that will often show rock. A few inches will come along and cover it up, but back to rock within a week. Didn’t know if that was normal for this time of year there or not.

Big Sky is still dry for the next 10 days. Tahoe, UT, and CO are getting atleast 12”. Wolf Creek has the big number on the board at 56”. Tellurides at 24”
