Just canceled YTTV. I’ll go back to Sling once we get sports again and add the sports add-on.

Just cancelled. Would have never noticed so thank you.

edit: I'd also like to add, I never watch TV and only had it for local channels and football season, but the amount of ads I've been seeing is unreal. frick these people.

More content will always = higher prices no matter if you’re subscribing to cable or a streaming service.

They should have made it a la carte, but Viacom probably wouldn't allow it.

Philo looks good but what do you do about local news and sports?

I'm keeping Philo and getting rid of Youtube tv. i just purchased a tv tuner for plex. I will be able to pull in all my locals for free and watch on roku. When football starts up again i will purchase sling tv for 3 months and get rid of after football is over. My internet is 50 a month , philo is 20 and once football starts sling orange 30
So thats 100 a month for tv and internet. Goes back to 70 once football is over. Screw Youtube tv!

That's a shame. I really like YTTV.
Had spectrum prior to this, and the bundle with internet would probably come out ahead now. But I just signed up with ATT fiber for a whole year, and not being able to bundle is going to limit my options.

It was only a matter of time before the big megacorp channel providers like Viacom put the squeeze on streaming providers.

How are you guys watching Philo? I have a Samsung Smart TV. Do I have to get a Firestick or Apple TV?

I stayed ahead of the curve on this and when Cox had a locked in deal for 2 years, 300mb, mid tier TV channels, with HBO, Show, Cin, Starz with one DVR for $140 I dumped streaming and went back.

When the 2nd year is up (I think that is what is left) I’ll take a look at AT&T and fiber again to see what deals I can get. If they try to suck me into a 2 year contract with on huge bump in the second year I’ll figure something else out.

Just signed up for gig fiber from windstream

$75 and will get Hulu live most likely

My YouTube TV price won’t be charged until late August so praying they make changes before that to fix this.

My 5 yo hates live tv. Hates commercials. This younger generation doesn't know what they have going for them.

My kids crack me up when it comes to commercials. They too bitch and moan about commercials and have a hard time grasping why their programming is interrupted by commercials.

I guess I'll be the old man here....when I was little, I could only watch cartoons on Saturday morning, there was actually very little on TV that pertained to kids, and we didn't even have that many viewable options overall.

Now, kids have whatever in TF they wanna watch, at the tips of their fingertips. In between kids streaming programming, and my boy playing with his buddies on XBox Live, these kids now-a-days are spoiled and don't realize how well they have it compared to us kids that grew up in the 80's.
