this is why i opted out and use IPTV

why should we have to foot the bill for all the games broadcasters and access providers play?

thats as moronic as neflix removing popular movies or tv shows right before the season people watch them the most.

my blood pressure now stays even thanks to doing a little work and managing all of this myself.

Pretty big jump. I watch lots of sports though and YTTV seems to be the best. But when you're on a fixed income this hurts.

I'm not familiar with IPTV. Of course I appreciate a lot of what YouTube TV offers in regards to simplicity and access, but I've never wanted any more than what it offered initially.

What IPTV provider do you use? Looking for a backup to mine.

I believe it will be taxed in Louisiana come January as well so it will be higher than that.

I was already considering dropping them. This makes my decision easier.

Damn. Might add the 4k package to get unlimited streams and go in half with someone. Just throw passwords on the profiles.

i'm using the IPTV service provided by IPTorrents for now. there are a few hoops to jump through to get it working inside of plex, but there's no want for channels

i think around 6,000 at last count; a ton of which are from other countries and don't really apply but its nice to pull in PPV events like UFC.

I honestly prefer fubo for sports but I left them with their last increase. I’ll probably be heading back their way

I just looked and FuboTV is $80/month for their Essential plan.

I currently have Philo (grandfathered in at a very cheap cost) and YTTV, but I'm gonna drop YTTV and try to find something that offers local channels (antenna won't pick up any where I live) and sports.

The 4k package does not impact the number of streams you can have outside your home. Not needed for sharing.

You dont need to share passwords, either. You can share with anyone who has a gmail account. They use their own Gmail info to login, not yours. You just have to add their gmail account to your family.

It’s reaching the point that I’m having a hard time recommending YTTV to anyone other than very heavy TV watchers. They are falling into the cable trap and trying to offer too much variety. Unless they start creating sub packages, I think people are going to start dropping out hard.

The main culprit behind all of this is Disney. ESPN has way too much control over sports and is what is keeping Disney going.

Absolutely free. Not a lot of bells and whistles but around 175 channels including most of the really popular ones.

Do you have to use plex for IPTorrents? I'm using Tivimate and IMPlayer.

Might as well go with Sling TV. They used to be $25 or $30/mo with sports add on. Now I see they're at least $40.

In reality, it might be cheaper just to tape the cord and go back to cable. That's the only reason I would go back.

I'm about to drop cable and this kinda sucks that I'm maybe gonna save $50 instead of closer to $70 (added the tax as well as $10 increase)

They're literally doing what the cable companies did and why people left to begin with.

I just checked with Sling and it'll be $51 for the Orange package and the Sports AddOn (that includes SEC Network).

absolutely not. its just a .m3u or xml file of the channels you select.

you can plug that into any IPTV client from tivimate to VNC.

in fact, its easier that way than integrating with plex; i just like the idea of one solution for all my tv viewing.
