Threads like this scare me because I will probably have to go Android at some point. Why is this even a question? Why doesn't the phone just do it?

what do you mean exactly? iPhones use a music player app just the same as android, right?

It will "just do it". He asked what was the best. With Android, there are options.

Google play lets you import downloads.

Oh i see what he's asking now. It's crazy how apple people can't wrap their head around this.

It's almost like they think you buy a phone and it has absolutely nothing installed on it already and you have to build your phone out for each type of function you want to perform.

It does. Play Music is the built-in app. It's a great music player, but there are other options in the Play store if you want to veer away from stock Android.

I use the Play Music app.. i just pay for the $8/mo upgrade to stream unlimited music.

Yeah, If I wasn't paying for the streaming service though, I wouldn't use Google Play. I'd use PowerAmp.

Yep, it's the best I've found as well thus far.

No. Flash the zip and then open the app and set the EQ to your liking and turn it on if it's off. It works across all sound.

Do I need to be rooted to do this? I'm confused as to what to do with the DL.

I have the same concern. As a Blackberry user, I'm seriously worried about the switch to Android. My Blackberrys play FLAC files right out of the box and Android needs me to go to the Google Play store and PAY to accomplish the same thing. It's sad.

I have a Sony phone and the Sony Walkman App is the best music player I have ever tried on a phone. Even has Spotify built into it.

sent my Passport SE back to get fixed. I have a backup Priv. I'm talking about songs you have ripped off of a CD or downloaded, not streaming such as Pandora or SPotify.

what? you do not have to pay for google play music. seriously, this isnt hard to understand.

you pay if you want unlimited streaming. do you think spotify is free for unlimited streaming? how about apple music? no, of course not.
