I'm looking for some help on getting a VPN. From what I understand they'll help keep me from getting in trouble with firestick using Kodi. Can some one recommend one. I'm willing to pay for it. I know nothing about them or how to set them up.

You wont get in trouble using Kodi on a fire stick.

Plenty of how to guides on youtube.

I use PIA and its loaded directly on to my firetv, so I can use British Amazon apps as well.

Unless they were using a torrent addon I haven't heard of anyone getting in trouble for using Kodi. I wouldn't worry about it. Also I would add Terrarium TV to your fire stick and use the GoogleVideo streams. It's been much better for me than any Kodi addon.

I'll 2nd Private Internet Access (PIA.) Works well, decently priced. Not one of the most privacy-based ones but it will be fine for Kodi stuff.

I had to reload a Nexus player over the weekend and reset spmc/Kodi. Noticed covenant isn't in hardly any repos anymore. What's the latest and greatest addons?

It appears that Neptune Rising is currently the most used app. Seems to be a fork for the old Covenant app

I've got Kodi running on an Android box and it's pretty sweet. I also installed a VPN client on it. Mostly, I use my phone as a remote via Kodi's web interface.
Heres some useful guides on vpn:

You won't get in trouble for using Kodi without a VPN.

I have been using Kodi for about 3 years now. about 7 or 8 months ago, nothing would work. Lots of shows wouldn't have streams and when i did find streams they were constantly buffering or not working at all. I actually decided to get cable b/c Kodi wouldn't work.

I download IPVanish, i think it was $50 for a year, and now I can watch shows on Kodi with no problem. Find an HD stream and no buffering everytime now. Using Genesis Reborn.
I had cable for about 2 weeks, and cancelled once i got the VPN.

Honestly saying...
Express VPN is a faster VPN provider but doesn't know why I'm getting an error while using some Kodi addons. Yes, on Netflix, Express VPN working fine but on Kodi, it's unable to unblock some region restricted streaming links. I tested it while using Covenant addon. I followed this guide to install Covenant from All Eyez On Me Repo- https://firestickhelp.com/covenant-kodi-addon/ but I'm facing Buffering as well as region blocked streaming link error.

Rest upon you....

I've been with 'Kodi' since back in the xbmc early days and never had a problem with my provider. I don't do torrents or anything that sends files though.

If you own a reasonably new PC you would be much better off downloading Plex and getting someone in here to invite you to a private tracker and run your own local UHD stash of movies and TV shows with no Kodi nonsense ever.

Put that vpn money towards a nice fat hard drive and plexpass.

Protip: currently seeding over 100 movies and TV shows and no Comcast nastygrams.
