Quality is that good? I got the Fury build for FireTv and the live tv quality is unacceptable. May use VUE for my live tv needs

Alot of the live tv feeds are SD. You would need a pay IPTV to get great feeds.

Yeah it wasn't just resolution on live tv, I couldn't stay on any feed for more than a few minutes. Had to watch the game on my computer. Probably get VUE tonight

Vue and DTVN both have free trials. Give em a shot and see what you prefer.

Does anyone here have Fire TV and Fire Stick? Is it worth it to get the Fire TV? I have an Ultra HD TV. Cutting the cord this month once I get the Fire Stick or FireStick/TV. Trying to see about getting either Vue or Sling. Probably Vue...any tips or advice greatly appreciated.

I have FTV and it works excellent except for DTVN app.. but I think that's a DTV issue, not FTV.. I will eventually get a stick for patio tv but they're still backordefed like a mf.

Fwiw,I have friends who run kodi on stick without issues... I can't comment on vue or sling.

The new FTV and sticks are backordered but if you can get a refurb FTV in 2 days. :

For the people that cut cable, how much did your internet bill go up? I was trying to cancel my cable and they said my internet would go from $67.99 to over $90 for the same service without cable. I swear I read on my bill before that it would only go up $5 without cable. Anyway I got them down to $115, which is about what I would be paying for internet and Vue so I'm sticking with Cox for now.

Also, I'm doing the free trial of PSVue right now on PS4. Do I need to cancel somewhere when its up or can I just not pay it? I set my wallet so it doesn't pay automatically.

I have a Fire TV in the bedroom. Is it worth it? Well I use it for PS Vue (among other things) which allowed me to drop DirecTV. Went from $140/month to $50/month. Do I have less channels now--yes. But most of the DirecTV channels are bullshite that I never watch. I'm saving $1080 over the span of one year. To me this is worth it alone. Only downside for me (regarding Vue and not Fire TV) is that Vue doesn't carry Comedy Central anymore.

I also just started running Kodi on my Fire TV and now I have access to every movie and TV show that I can think of so a) I can catch up with my Comedy Central shows and b) I don't have to rent or buy movies anymore. That's at least another $500 in savings annually right there.

And seeing as how you have an UHD TV, you could stream 4k content over the Fire TV. I can't speak to the quality of the 4K streaming as the TV in my bedroom is just 1080p. Any 4K streaming I do is on the Xbox One S in the living room.

IMO, the FireTV runs Vue better than the PS4. The menu and guide run smoother on PS4, but the FireTV changes channels faster and produces a higher quality image.

I have cox and made the call today. They gave me a deal to keep my internet at 50MB, local channels and 30 minutes out bound calls for $101. Setup Amazon Fire streaming with PS vue and couldn't be happier.

I must be doing something wrong. I've tried twice to install the newest version of kodi both times I still ended up in kodi 16 with my previous build gone.
