Is everyone using a VPN for their Kodi or no need? If so, any recs on an easy/free one?
Need some recs on one. Necessary for outside the country and looking into one.
Also, is a 1st gen worth it for $45 Amazaon tv?

I'm not tech savvy, we aren't avid tv watchers, and I'm not a gamer. We just cut the cord and currently only have streaming netflix, which is just fine for us; EXCEPT, the football season issue. My wife is a Husker and we love watching games together, so I'm trying to find how we can watch our teams' games without an annual subscription. Something we can get only during the season? Is SlingTV an option? Also the othrr issue is that i am normally working satuday nights, so I would need to watch after the fact. Am I expecting the impossible? It doesn't necessarily have to be every game, but preferably the big ones, at least. I tried to read though this entire thread but I blew a fuse about page 3. Any recommendations?

Well, from what I've seen, the HD and SD tags have zero correlation to the actual quality of the stream.
I set mine up to auto-play based on VT suggestion but I notice every movie I watch, new or old, always come in SD. Is there a channel or way to get more HD? I don't get why so much SD, especially for movies that have been out a while, wouldn't these be DVD or Blue Ray quality?

Android TV finally got the watch ESPN app!!!!
My Sony TV is the shite now. ESPN, sling, Netflix, Hulu, kodi, all hardwired into the TV. Locals through the antenna, all on one remote. If they would just support Vue, it would be the best TV on the market hands down, even though it kind of already is.

I don't get why so much SD,
It is the limits of the server bandwidth. Hosting and streaming an HD movie takes a lot of bandwidth when you have many different people watching at once.

Just did this on my firestick with the Kodi.
Does anyone actually not like firestarter? I can't decide if I like it or prefer it without it. Kodi loads without it any ways.

Firestarter will be removed from your stick soon
Amazon doesn't allow it anymore

Yeah, I read that amazon blocked it in the newest update. However, I heard firestopper is the same thing and may work with the newest update.. so Idk..
I am new to all this. I saw how to get out of firestarter now. Just learning all this. Thanks for the thread.

So let's say I may or may not be a Buffalo Bills fan living in Louisiana. Which Kodi addon is the most reliable to be able to watch their games every week? Also what about UFC and boxing PPV's?

What extensions are everyone using these days? I had been using 1channel, but it doesn't seem to be working very good anymore.

Ps vue.
I already had a ps4. But I picked up a fire TV and just installed kodi. It's awesome.
So if you don't have a PlayStation. Get a fire TV and you can do month by month with Ps vue. And have access to all sports except CBS, which I'm currently working on by I get shite signal at my new place.
Is there a way to watch live CBS through kodi?
