I've been going back and forth between preordering the 6 and 6+, but now think I would rather wait and decide after trying them in the store.

My 4s is still hanging on so I can wait a bit.

If you're going back and forth, that's a good decision.

Sort of a thread .....

Has anyone ever upgraded their cell phones via Amazon (2 year contract) and was previously grandfathered in on unlimited data, have any issues doing it through Amazon, like losing unlimited for some reason?

Right now it seems they have the best pricing for 2 year contract plans versus best buy, but I would hate to somehow lose the unlimited.

My biggest question is how my running habits will change, or if I'll have to get some other device to run with music and nike+ now. Any thoughts? Would running with either or these phones be practical? I've never tried anything larger than the 4s.

Perfect article for this thread:

Picking a new iPhone: there's only one decision that matters - It's simpler than you think

quote:

Based on talking to people in person and on social media networks, it seems that a lot of people are torn between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus and are completely unsure of which one to buy. It appears that for most people, the biggest sticking point is that the 6 Plus could take better photos than its smaller sibling, thanks to its new optical image stabilization system. But the answer is simpler than many people are making it out to be.

By all accounts, it appears that everything else about the cameras in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the same. According to Apple, they have the same resolution, same sensors, same focus system, same lens, same flash, and same new camera processing features. They also have the same video recording features, including slow-motion, 1080p recording, and something Apple calls "Cinematic Stabilization." But in the vast majority of still photography situations, these cameras are likely to produce the exact same results.

quote:

Do you want a really big phone and are you willing to live with the compromises that come with it? Great, you should get the iPhone 6 Plus. If you want a phone that will be easier to manage in one hand and will fit in your pants' pockets with ease, the iPhone 6 offers virtually everything the 6 Plus has in a smaller package.

It's as simple as that. Now comes the really hard question: what color do you want?

That scale is off. On the same pdf, it shows a 5 and my 5 is larger than the pdf version. I aslo drew a box given the dimensions and the box is larger than the pdf version. I wouldn't use that for 100% accuracy.

Did you set to print at 100% or did you not even check to see if you were set correctly before printing?

If you force print the PDF at 100% scale, it is accurate.

I have been messing with the 6 plus cut out all day to see if it is what I want...

It's really frickin big. The 6 definitely feels better and more natural. I just want that battery. I could make do without the other shite, but battery issues is something common for me.

I don't have to live with it as a daily driver though since I switch between android and apple. It's got to be a hard decision for people who only want one phone.

Yeah initially I was going to get the 6, but I want the longer battery as well as the better screen and OIS.

I like the screen on the G3...it's great for media and games so I'll just suck it up and get the 6+

Damn first world problems

6 64gb

I use my phone for music at the gym and I can't imagine having a 6+ on me while lifting/running.

Verizon
Verizon will give you a $200 gift card when you trade in an old iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, or iPhone 5c, and purchase a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus with a new Verizon Edge agreement, two-year contract, or when you pay full retail price. Owners of the iPhone 5S get an even better deal. The carrier will reward you with a $300 Verizon gift card if you trade in your old iPhone 5s. Verizon will open preorders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus online at 12:01 a.m. PT on September 12.

So, I have never done the pre order thing. Some of y'all said apples store is the way to go right? How do I take advantage of this trade in, do I just mark down that I am trading it in or is this only going to work at the actual store?

I am going to wait up for this shite and don't want to get to game time and not know what the frick to do.

Thanks, please help out a lowly Iphone 4S holder since October 2011 and then a 4 the last 5 months because of a little incident on the ocean.

4.7 64gb in silver/gray.
5.5 is too big.
Apple iOS updates are killing my iPhone 4.

Plus, you have to trade-in at some point before the value of the phone is completely worthless.
I think the 4 is at the very end of its value.

I'm in the same boat...I have the same question, but wonder how I use an eligible upgrade towards the phone. Only go through ATT for that?
