I've only tried it at places where it's obvious that it will work and I've never had any issues.

They also have 20% discounts on gift cards purchased through the Samsung Pay app to places like domino's and regal theaters on a regular basis. That's a great deal if you are already going to spend money at those places.

Gotcha, I thought it was implied since the guy two posts above me mentioned the Samsung rewards points.

I really wish Samsung would license the magnetic technology so other Android phones could use it. That is the real important difference in android and Samsung pay. It is so universal it is hard to even compare to Apple or Android pay.

Actually go ahead and expand that, you'd be surprised. It's an amazing piece of technology, I know they have marketed it well but they need to do a better job.
It works pretty much everywhere you can swipe.
I've had the "oh it doesn't work here.......oh it too it, I didn't know that" reaction from cashiers a lot.
And to the person that said it doesn't work at walmart....I'm not sure what happened that day, but it works and you should use it.

This thread has been educational. I had no clue samsung pay was that superior to Android and Apple pay.

Playing around with this in Pierre Part has been pretty funny today. It's worked everywhere. Including Pierre Part store and the dollar general.

Android pay

It's not the same..the technology Samsung uses is magnetic something or another and you can use it on pretty much all scanners (except at the pumps dang it)..Android pay uses the nfc thing where you have to touch a certain area and it has to accept the nfc payments(newer card readers with the 3 lines)

Samsung is head over heals above anything other payment method on phone out there..

Edit to say I posted this before reading the whole thread and learned about using it at the pumps...didn't know you had to trip something inside...

So do you just turn any credit/debit card upside down and then use it like that?

You can but the embossed numbers on some cards won't fit or fit very tightly in some pumps. I can make it work 90%+ pumps. It takes a few tries to learn exactly how to hold your phone. My Gear S3 works great also.

Samsung Pay is also integrated into Exxon's Speedpass app that works at some local stations.

Most people I know with Samsung phones have no clue how awesome Samsung pay is. They do a terrible job promoting it

Are you sure your bank allows it? Not every bank let's you join the mobile pay services. I think there is a list on the Samsung pay website, might look on your bank's website and see if they have any info

No I'm good. I misunderstood. I had to register my card. I'm good to go.
