Following. Not for me, but for my wife.

Been using Lastpass for a few years, no regrets

I use LastPass, but some time in the last year they went paid. You can still use it for free on one device type (you choose either mobile or desktop) and it won't work on the other type unless you pay the subscription. Still the best I've come across, just wanted to give you full disclosure

Need more details... single use or multi user? Just a simple vault or more advanced features? OS - Windows, Linux, Mac or combination? Self hosted or a provider?

Bitwarden is legit. I'm a tin foil hat wearing nerd, so I self host the server, but the self hosting part is not necessary. You can use the default/cloud instance.

I’ve had 1password for almost 2yrs now, as it was primarily to make sure wife and teens had strong and non-repeated passwords

Bitwarden - use on any device. Booted LastPass when they crippled the free account.

I have always used KeePass, but I think it's pretty old at this point. I've thought about upgrading to something else.

Can do either. I believe it's $3 a month for premium (1 user) and $4 a month for family (6 users). You each get your own login to keep all passwords secure, and/or you can share some/all with specific members in your group.
There are more advanced features, but others will have to discuss that as I use lastpass simply for the vault and sharing passwords with the wife features.

For those that made the transition, how much of a PITA is it to get it set up. I have dozens of passwords on dozens of sites. I always put off getting a manager because I fear the setup.

It's really easy with either Bitwarden or Lastpass. Add the extension to chrome or put the app on the your phone. When you enter a password it asks if you want to save it. You can build up your vault over time.

I use Keeper and like it.

There is also a way to export passwords to LastPass. It's been awhile, but I think the only requirement was to be able to export to csv file, then import into Last Pass

Prefer Reynolds heavy duty, self hosted here as well, but use the vaultwarden_rs container, the extra 'subscription features' of bitwarden are unlocked. Nightly db backups dumped to an encrypted volume.

Password protected spreadsheet. Yeah, I rather not give random Indian employees access to my passwords. Plus LastPass was hacked last year.
