I'd like to hear comments from people who have had at one time or currently have YouTube TV.
I currently have AT&T Uverse internet.
I have a Samsung Smart TV.
I am an Amazon Prime customer so I have a Fire TV stick.
Thanks for your responses.

Thanks for your response.
I'm paying over $100 for Cox tv so I'd be saving some money. If you don't mind me asking what channels do you not get that you wish you had? I read the list of channels available in the lowest prices package, I think there were about 85 channels. I mainly want to be sure I can get the local BTR news channels. The list of channels is pretty much what I'm getting with Cox but I'd be paying less with YouTube.

Add only 3 streams can be played concurrently. May not matter much but could depending upon your family’s size.

I just upgraded my hulu basic to hulu plus live tv. We did it mainly for the history channel as youtube doesn't offer it and we watch it a fair amount. All the streaming content also was a factor.
It's $60, and I suppose for $65 I could do add free, but want to see how it goes first. There are currently only two of us in the house, so streams is not an issue.

This was the main issue for us in choosing YouTube TV over Hulu. We are sharing the account between 2 households splitting the bill and we wanted 3 streams.

The channel line up must vary by area. I just signed up for Youtube TV last night and CW was included.

Pros:
*All the sports you want.
*All your local channels.
*Ability to pause, record, etc...
*Amazing picture quality. Looks just like cable/satellite. Can’t remember the last time it glitched, if it ever even did.
*Seamless integration with mobile devices
*Basically all the channels you want, except for a few important exceptions (History channel biggest annoyance for me)
* No contracts, no commitments. We canceled for a month a while back bc we were traveling and wouldn’t be using it. I also usually cancel for a couple months in the summer (between the end of NBA playoffs and start of football). This is also important because the streaming world changes constantly so you can jump ship the second you see a better service out there. And cancelling is easy asf. You just click a button; no hassling with someone over the phone asking you why you’re leaving.
Cons
* Not so cheap anymore. That last price hike was tough to swallow. Big difference between $40 and $65/month. Almost canceled due to it and I will cancel if they push it anymore.
* I hate their interface, but this is universal across platforms it seems.
* This isn’t specific to youtube tv but at this point I’m not sure you save much if any money by “cutting the cord,” when you consider some of the bundles they offer for Internet/tv/cable. Of course the problem with those bundles is you’re locked in and they try to frick you down the road. No contracts/commitments is important to me so I can tell them to frick off when they do something I don’t like. There’s always some other service popping up out there.
Bottom line is I’d probably be better off paying half as much for Sling TV and getting all my sports and stuff and just using my antenna for all my local channels, but I enjoy the convenience of having everything on one platform, being able to pause the sports that come on local channels, and being able to set my device to record things on local channels (usually just SNL)

Pros:
Guide is good
Stream quality is great
Very little buffering
Unlimited DVR
Cons:
Price keeps going up - they add channels you might not really want
No NFL Network
It's google so knowing them they'll probably cancel the whole thing inside the next 2 years.

First time ive heard this. I think it's the best UI i've seen on the market for cord cutting products.

It would be if it were Netflix though.

Made the switch from DTV to YTTV a month or two ago. Really like YTTV. Wish they wouldnt have added those channels and increase the price. But still cheaper. Really have no complaints. The DVR is legit. Looked at Hulu but seemed like they wanted to charge too much for DVR. figured I could try both but Youtube TV has not given me a reason to even try hulu

We similarly moved from DTV. Overall it's fine. The move and Covid pushed us to watch more streaming content (on demand series and netflix and whatnot). So we've very much untethered from the traditional cable-type lineup other than news and sports. YTTV has too many channels for us at this point - I wish I could pay less and get less.
Overall it works as we expected. It's ok priced, but you're not going to save huge money IMO. It's easy to deal with from an administrative level, and being able to more easily login and watch TV from elsewhere is nice. We could do that with DTV, but everything is simplified on Google on the subscriber/admin end. Emails they promise to send you (cancel this or it'll renew) actually get sent. In short, AT&T is a piece of shite company to deal with and Google isn't.
As mentioned, the interface is shitty but apparently it's better than others. It's kind of amazing to me that people don't bitch about the transition more. Using a remote that isn't really tailored to your use is honestly the biggest adjustment from traditional cable/satellite. It's all trial and error and compromises. Some of that may be the interaction with Apple TV, but by most accounts Apple TV is as good with YTTV as any other.

Yep. We canceled a few weeks ago before the price increase hit. The added channels just didn't add a $15 per month value for us. We're without any cable package right now and just relying on Netflix, Amazon, HBOMax, and a few of the Roku channels for our TV viewing. Haven't really missed it, and don't see us changing any time soon. We also have CBS All Access, and a cable login from a friend for ESPN. So even if/when college football kicks off, we shouldn't have a big problem watching the games we want to. I have an antenna in a closet somewhere if that is needed.

We used Rokus throughout the house, and the interface is a bit clunky compared to the cable we're all used to. Not having designated channel numbers to just punch in took some getting used to, along with the 2-3 lag for the stream to start when you switch channels. You get used to it, but it took a few weeks. Took the wife longer than that.

Yeah I can navigate it fine, it just annoys me.
My wife just doesn't have the computer/tech ability to "figure shite out" like most of us do so she struggles. I think the touchpad on the Apple TV is part of it so maybe something else will help. That said, trying to explain to my wife why things don't work on the Harmony and the remotes do work on Apple TV but aren't fully made to work for YTTV is just...you know
Lost cause.
