Can someone explain these smart light bulbs to me? Do you need to buy some kind of hub to control them also or you can just do it with your phone?
Many are controlled by an app on your phone via Bluetooth
There are some that say "wifi" which would obviously have to connect to your Wink hub or wifi router

No big purchases for me thus far....just a few random items here and there.

I picked up the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science on bluray with digital copies for $11.

I just can never get excited about Prime Day. It's the most random shite ever that's on sale.
No, Amazon, I do not need a 600 pack of band-aids for 99 cents and a side pack of 4 lightbulbs for a 1987 chevy for 3 dollars.

A couple of Alexa deals were ok but again it is disturbing to see some prices actually go up!
What is interesting is the number of other companies who have piggy backed this day and are offering their on "Prime" sales - I got two great deals on other websites and both were cheaper than the Amazon price

I'm debating the $850 Surface Pro 4 (i5 8GB) deal from the Microsoft Website or going with the Acer (i7 8GB) not-Surface for likely the same from Amazon.

The first year was such a dud that they made it better last year. This year seems to be back to shite like year 1.

Agreed. Pretty disappointing this year

No fire TV or fire sticks from what I've seen. 1000s of options of echos and dots though.

Anyone have experience with the Google Wifi routers? Looks pretty neat to have multiple wifi points instead of one location.

Heard some good things about them. The multiple access points in nice for a larger house

Yeah, Amazon doesn't have anymore but BB does for $59.99.
I noticed they weren't backlit but I'm never in pitch dark. Is this one of the top-tier ones or not really? I see that you pretty much have to use your phone, is there one at a good price point that works with Alexa, Roku, etc and you can just use the remote to control everything w/o using a phone?
